**** OFFICIAL **** ICS COMING SOON thread... Post all questions and info here!!!!

Hi Everyone! I'll skip the introductory stuff, and to make a long story short, I installed the .211 leak last week. So far I'm really happy with it, but I'm wondering if I should fastboot back to .181 to get the official OTA. I personally haven't come across any bugs, but I haven't had too much time to really play. I guess I'm just looking for pros and cons.

Also, second question: will I be able to safely restore from a Titanium Backup created in GB? Logically, I see some problems, but I would really hate to lose all those settings.

Thank you!!

Yea...more folks around the web are getting the notice. Interesting considering that 2nd survey that got sent to testers...

Hey all! Well in between me taking important medical calls for myself my phone alerted me that I had a software update available. As I was not available to do it at that minute I kept making my calls. Now the update is gone and checking for updates results in "Your phone is up to date" Does anyone know how I can get the update to show up again?

My system update says try again later....a good sign? Or doesnt mean anything?

It means to try again later.

Usually it's not you initiating it, it's a push in due time.

For the root comment with voodoo... remove the regular root as a precaution. The backup can be restored, at least from what *cough* I've been told.

Maybe that was in the regular razr forum, so confusing to have two separate forums on each...

MODS, link the two.:D:D

It looks like it'll happen soon.

And correct, protect root with OTA root keeper AND temp unroot it. Restores fine (at least it did for me).

I just received email that is sent to testers stating that soak test will end tonight and roll-out will begin soon. To publish on public forums to help those that will will soon get Ice Cream.

I'll just say it.

Backup root, remove regular root. Receive new OTA, restore.

Works like a charm on an otherwise non-modified device..:D:D

I tried this....and messed up somewhere. Maybe I needed to update superuser app? Dont know what I did wrong. I did find an easy root process for ICS tho.

Either way...its not hard to get or keep root on our phones.

Now that I think about it.....I dont think I ever did back it up...lol. I dont think I ever restored it after the last OTA...

Got the notification a few hours ago :), did a check and update was waiting. Downloading now.

My wifes handset got notification about same time, will update hers after mine.

At 1:46 cdt this morning I checked update. And there it was. So I wasn't the last one in the world to get it.
Now I'm going back to sleep!
