Does anyone know if the power saver mode has gone?
Are you rooted?
I cant find it so im assuming it has.. not sure why they would remove it.

I think you may need to unroot 1st then update, or possibly manually update it as opposed to OTA method. Not sure if it is even possible to update a rooted phone OTA?
What root method did you use?

This is a part of ICS. Everytime you reboot your phone, you will have to wait for it to check all the apps on your phone.
I have no idea why it needs to do this
i used revolutionary program to root my phone, i think i found it in this forum i cant remember.
not sure can i actually unroot it but will give it a try
i still cant believe HTC actually asked me to do a hard reset on my phone to solve it out they are so helpful....

It must be going off serial or IMEI no as mine is unbranded and I'm on 3 and I've had it a week now.have to say its good.

got mine yesterday AM - Orange UK but unbranded.
At first I was a bit peeved as a lot seemed to be going wrong, but a restart and MOSTLY resolved.
Like the OS, its slick.
RE the stock mail app issue, I hadn't noticed the lack of mail coming through, (my primary email is under the gmail app) but when I went into it just now it magically found a bunch of mails it hadn't told me about
The Alarm clock is guffed, I use the music that I've put onto the phone for teh alarm clock. When I set my alarm last night I had to re-select a tune to play, but this morning no tune played. I've heard others talking about this so am looking for a fix.
I've played with teh widget - I really like the new Power Control widget from Android (wifi, bluetooth, gps, auto-update and brightness toggles) but also that you can add numerous toggles to your homescreen (if you're really missing the easy access to Areoplan mode, do it this way?)
Other than that, still playing. And I think face unlock needs some work, its quite touch and go as to whether it picks you up or not.
EDIT: Another one I noticed, I'm a facebook user, and I also use Dolphin Browser HD over the crappy stock browser. Since ICS update, the notification bar on facebook mobile in Dolphin (note - NOT the FB app) doesn't work, I don't get the buttons nor the notification flags.
ANOTHER EDIT : Update to Dolphin HD has fixed the FB notifications issue. I'm starting to niotice that my phone is a real pain to unlock though, it doesnt register when I press teh unlock button, or sometimes only part registers (the hardware buttons light up ever so slightly before dimming again) anyone else getting this?

My partners phone is an unbranded XE from O2, S-OFF & Rooted. She always get the exclamation mark (like an unsuccessful flash) and the android. It keeps saying a system update is available, but errors. The phone keeps rebooting trying to apply it and is totally unstable.
Is there a way to upgrade to ICS without farting around un-rooting etc etc?

Yep I have got the same problem. I have tried to look for a solution on Google but nothing.
Are there people actually working on a fix for these ICS problems or are we all going to have to wait until Android 5.0?
This is my first Android phone. I loved Gingerbread but ICS is a real pathetic attempt at an upgrade.
