burn me alive, but i think its really cool.
Yeah, outside of being an e-Reader and having a bigger screen, what exactly does this bring to the table that the iPod Touch hasn't already?
I agree...
Does nothing for me, but I am sure it will attract flocks of Apple kool-aid drinkers to the party

If it was available for $200 or so bucks, I still wouldn't get it. But you have to admit that it's a really cool device. Aside from a bigger screen, it seems to basically be an iPod Touch. And the better processor and RAM and all that jazz, but Apple had the right idea with the Touch/iPhone, but this tablet looks just like the aforementioned. It's not like the jump from the classic iPods to the iPhones, which was drastic and revolutionary.
But, to each his own, Apple fans will love it and buy it. $1000 is a bit too much for a tablet. I still don't quite get the point of tablets either. I thought netbooks had it down, being a step down from notebooks and a step up from smartphones (in terms of productivity, not the whole phone part, although Skype could be an option). The tablet seems to be a redundancy and while people will buy it, do you really need the touch screen to view an ebook? What's wrong with a laptop for books, movies, and web-browsing? 3G? Buy a 3G card.
Said Jlopcpa and pushed play on his iTouch...
I see it as a much better replacement to a laptop than a netbook. Yes, not that much memory. But i think it is designed for people who are always on the move between classes, work, etc. Not for having all of your data on it.
