Keeping it for another yet (or so I think at the moment).
No issues with performance whatsoever, and I don't see a critical need for fingerprint scanner (yet).
Love the camera on this.

Cool, that's good news! A lot of people say it's too big; but that's something I'm looking forward to. How has the portability been for you? Fits okay in normal pants pockets?

Portability - Hmm... let's see... how do I say this.... lol!

It is big if you put it into your front trouser/jeans pockets. There is no way to forget that you have a phone in your pockets. It is not uncomfortable, and nobody has looked at me weird and asked "you seem very happy to see me", so that's good. I guess that means that it is not that noticeable. As long as you aren't wearing skinny jeans, you should be ok.

While driving, it doesn't fit in my cup holder, or the slot near the door lock. It stays in my pocket, and bluetooth connection to my Urbane and to my car ensure that I don't need to take the phone out of my pocket.

When I am walk around, I move it to my back pocket, but when I sit down, it has to move to the front pocket (or table) - else I am worried that it will break.

I know you asked specifically about portability - but I'll add this one comment - for actual use, it is not that big. For the first week or so, I struggled a bit, but when I upgrade to my next device, I will not think twice about it being a 6" device.

:D:D:D

And so you're saying, it should fit in my favorite jeans no problem?

I kid, I kid!! :D

Shouldn't be a problem. 90% of the time I leave my phone on the passenger seat, the 0ther 10% I have a spot it should fit just fine.

I'm hoping I can tolerate carrying it in my front pocket as usual. I'm always afraid I'll forget it's in my back pocket and sit on it. Or drop it taking it in and out of my back pocket.

It's nice to hear some positive feedback about it. It seems like a really nice device, and pretty much all I see in user comments are people bitching about the size. I have a feeling that most of them don't own one and have likely never even held one. But hey, it's the internet... Where else can you anonymously chastise everything with no consequence?

Thanks for taking some time to answer questions!

I'm not allowed to talk about my Nexus 6 anymore. Every time I do my wife thinks I'm having an affair. ;)

From a performance, feature and spec standpoint, usually after a year or so i start looking at the next device. So, i started looking and i still can't find one that makes me want to ditch last year's model. I see zero lag, great battery life, ample memory and a glorious display.

As to it's size. Um ... well ... yeah, it's big. When i first held it, it felt gargantuan. I used to chuckle at Galaxy Note owners. Can't do that anymore. :o And to add insult to injury, the design of the phone and the materials make it a little slick to hold. this was the first phone I ever felt the need for a case ... which, of course, makes it bigger. That said, I am not only used to the size now, i don't think i'd consider going smaller now. :)

I did have to buy a jumbo car dock but other than that it's been very little adjustment to accommodate the size. It's very pocketable, although my days of slim fit jeans are long past, you certainly don't have to put a new wardrobe of cargo pants on your Christmas list. :D

One "negative" thing that I should mention - If you plan to use a tempered glass screen protector with this, good luck. I've tried about 5 different ones - none have a perfect fit. The edges of the screen on the N6 are slightly curved, and that causes a "halo" (basically about 0.5 to 1mm of the edge doesn't stick to the screen causing a visible whiteish mark).

I ended up with one that avoids that, by making the screen protector slightly smaller than the screen. So, about 1 mm or so of the screen (edges) are not covered by the screen protector - but at least I don't have to deal with the whitish marks at the edges.

So the latest rumor is the upcoming version of the nexus 6 will have the choice of 32,64 and 128 GB of storage any takers?? Personally I think the new Nexus devices coming out look horrible, I will be keeping my Nexus, 6. I can't afford to invest money in a new cell. My wife is still using a note 2 and its starting to have some problems, battery is going out (can be replaced) its starting to slow down, I figure it's only time before we are looking at new phone and for the record she's not a Nexus fan

whomever makes a 6 inch screen for 2016 (not apple) they will get my money... i cant go anything smaller...
I agree. But I fear there won't be a (high end) 6" option next year. If you want good specs, we may have to settle for 5.7". I'm sure it won't feel 'small' once you get used to it.

ever since 2001 i have had htc devices (and prior to that i only had kyocera) and last year was the first time i went to another device (i wanted the vanilla OS and i wanted the nexus).

this year i left sprint (1998) to join google fi (still use sprint so not totally out of their life) after being with one carrier for years.

every year i have always gotten the latest and greatest device. seems now its time to break that trend as well...

Back in the day when I did prepaid with VirginMobile and tracphone I was getting a new device every two months, sometimes I would buy two phones because a month or two was all it seems they lasted

FYI I have not put my order in for either of new Nexus devices, sorry but too me they aren't very impressive, but being they are nexus that counts for something

Okay if was a year ago I unofficially became a nexus 6 owner, the wife order the nexus 6 in November of 2014 which was supposed to be my Christmas present however it didn't come till late January, phone is still awesome

I probably won't move on to a new nexus until 2016 or 2017. I think the nexus 6 will get Android N possibly Android 0. It will be hard finding a replacement, I love the screen size front speakers
I agree, the Nexus 6 has all that I need in a smartphone, and I love mine. I did just get it in August so to me it's still a new phone, and although I wouldn't turn down a 6P the expense of upgrading right now just doesn't make sense to me. It's not enough of an upgrade.

If you haven't already bought one, there is one coming up on Amazon for $200 unlocked. It listed under the Today's Deals then 12 Days of Deals. It's coming up at 12 am PST so in a few hours.

Any idea how long this sale will be going on is it one day or just a few hours?. I appreciate the help. Thank you.
Anthony.

Hello, everyone! I'm relatively new to the site. :)

I ordered the 64GB Midnight Blue Nexus 6 and expect it to arrive on Tuesday.

EDIT: I should add a few details. I have the Sprint SERO plan and am eligible for upgrade on 12/1. I had planned to purchase the 32GB Nexus 6 for $200 on contract, but really wanted the 64GB version. When the Amazon deal came up for the 64GB modeal at $260, I leaped before I looked. I've never done it before, but I'm considering using my upgrade to buy a subsidized phone from Sprint and sell it. Either that, or get an iPhone 6s, see if I can unlock it, and give to my wife to use on Ting. I'm not sure if that's possible.
