Root Official OTA ROM

From reading xda it looks like it is running well on most roms you might run into some issues on an AOSP rom but the ones that are based on mr2/2.5 should be fine.

for those considering running,or are running, the OTA,ive been on it since last night. i had some issues with bluetooth wanting to not reconnect if i got far enuff away from the phone for long enuff. i thot it was somewhat laggy at times... i think the custom roms for the most part are much smoother. it also had pretty terrible battery life

I been running Bamf Sense 3.0 rc4 for a a day literally and the OTA came out. Flashed the new OTA radio and it is working fine so far. No problems. Fast 4g, never disconnects. Can't speak about the GPS since I live in NYC and have no need for a GPS but I heard it is locking on instantly.

lol i know... why anyone would ever want to unroot so they could magically accept OTA an update of a stock rom... is well beyond my capacity for thot :D

If someone wants to unroot to accept a stock OTA they probably shouldn't be rooted in the first place

quick question, hopefully not hijacking this thread, so the link to the radio up top in this thread, is the OTA update that came out last night for non-rooters, but us rooted people can download that radio, flash it, and fix OUR reboot issues as well??

that is correct. the radio is perfectly safe for rooted users to flash. :)

OTA radio runs smooth on BAMF sense 3.0 Rc5. GPS locks on fast!

Rc5 hasn't released yet. You downloaded pre rc5. It will have a few bugs.

Side note I downloaded the rooted ota so I could keep a nandroid of it in case I needed to take the phone in store. "incognito" ;)

i did the same. i actually made a backup of pre-rooted OTA so ill be real incognito unless they check my hboot or recovery

ok so let me get this straight before i do this, i am rooted, running NO rom but stock. i can download the above NEW radio and then place it on my SD card then go into hboot and load it from there?

The radio will not work unless you are on the .70 build(new ota) or a custom Rom.

yes. but, youll then be running incompatible radios with mr1(if im understanding the post correctly) so either before or after flashing the radio in hboot, youll need to also flash the update rom. :)

edit: beat me by 2 minutes, lol
