Does anyone have a bluetooth headset that they actually like and goes well with the MoPho? I'm thinking of getting the Motorola H720.

Jawbone icon has been awesome and you can get it for pretty cheap now.

Heard jawbone prime was even better.

There's the jawbone hd that just came out, if you wanna spend the money.

Just purchased these this morning.
Given that my wife and my sister in law all have this product (for their evo 4g's), i don't think there will be much of an issue.
3 batteries, even at 1500 mAh for 13 bucks is more than reasonable.
I'll let you folks know how it goes.

Definitely report back if they're the correct battery replacements though. Some had reported that BH6X and BH5X did not fit in the MoPho.

Here you go.
The package is bought on ebay and it comes from China.
Here you see the package, the 3 included batteries and the charger box.

Next we have images of the battery in its protective pouch and the battery charger.
Each battery is a 3.7VDC 1500mAh Rechargable Lithium-ion type of battery.
It states as a replacement for the BF5X/MB520/MB525 battery. But I can rest assure that it does fit the Photon.

Another view of the battery and charger.

The charger has retractable prongs to connect to the wall and it also has a usb port which I guess is to connect another device to charge from (like the Photon connected via a usb cable.) There is a nicely soft glow light that is colored red (more like magenta) when the battery needs charging and turns a nice color green when the battery is fully charged. Supposedly the charger box indicates that the charging stops once the battery is full to prevent overcharging, but I have no way of knowing that without a battery tester of some sort.

Here is the view of the light with a pic without flash on.

As I was testing this product, the supplied batteries get charged in about an hour each. Originally, I just inserted one of the batteries into the photon to see if it fit and worked and yes it does fit and charge the phone. But it quickly died since I didn't have it fully charged. Well after a few hours of charging all three batteries, I inserted one of them into the photon and see how long they last. I'll get back to that after the break. :D

as for the USB port on the charger, well it does not provide any juice to the Photon via a usb cable. At first I thought it was my cable (previous HTC EVO cable) so I switched it to the official one from Motorola and nothing, zip nada.
At this point, I thought either I had a charging device that had a defective usb port or the port doesn't work at all. So I decided to do one last final test and plug in my Kensington Pocket Battery for Smartphones device (which I highly recommend by the way) into the usb port of the charger and tada, we have power. It charges the Kensington battery pack. But not the Photon via the usb.

Now going back to the battery in the photon, while not as long lasting as the official Motorola HF5X 3.8v 1650mAh battery, it does keep the Photon working long enough for me and until I am able to reach a charging port on long travels outside. And with 3 of them, I really do not have to worry. (So long as they all are charged fully). lol

Overall for the price, $12.90 I really can't complain. True the USB charge port only works for my Kensington but it does charge the 3 supplied batteries as well as the official Motorola one. Small, compact and good for travel.

TS out

There is one pic I forgot to show and that is the one that shows the pouch where the batter came in. The pic above only showed one side, the other side is this. These numbers may be the model number.

The ebay link is the one that boo boo provided and which I quoted.

Wow, curiously enough, it says that it's a bF5X battery. So were the earlier reports by one of the people on here incorrect? Seems likely, if TS was able to use the battery on the moPho without issues.

I'm trying out this seller:
sophiemoaa | eBay

If everything works out alright, I guess that will squash the notion that the bf5x battery isn't compatible. If the bf6x ends up being the same, than that seems odd that the person who originally mentioned incompatibility would have issues.

I tried the oem bf5x. Doesnt work, doesnt fit. Seems like this seller founda way to modfiy the leads on the bf5x cells. Which is fine by me, so long as it works.

Thanks for chiming in.

I won the 1950mah batteries from a different seller than the ones twospirits purchased (and confirmed work), so I'll confirm fitment and usability when I receive them.

The ones I purchased are labeled as bf6x, which was also reported to not fit properly (so maybe they were altered so that the teeth will work with the MoPho.

In my opinion, all suction cups, adhesive disks, etc are only good for a short time. Sooner or later you are going to end with your device on the floor or the car. Or worse, it will end there with the screen cracked...
I found the hard way that the best solution is a well designed holder/dock. For the Photon, nothing beats the Motorola Car Dock. However, it is important not to use the suction cup attachment supplied with the dock. Instead, purchase a Deivice Holder specific for your car and chosen place in the car from ProClipUSA. ProClips ain't cheap, but they will not fall off like suction cups or adhesive disks. For the Motorola Car Dock you need to get the Garmin Ball Mount, Item No. 215165 from ProClip. This mount attaches with 4 screws to the Device Holder specific for your car.

Is there anyone that has some experience with Proclips mounts and holders? They look good on the website but you know how that is. I also like to use fm transmitters to play over car stereo. Are there any that are usable with MoPho that act as chargers too?
Thanks.

Proclip mounts are expensive, but very good mounts. We've had a few spam'd posts about them, but they are great if you're willing to shell out the money for vehicle specific mounts.

As far as FM transmitters are concerned, I tried a few of those with my EVO before, but all of them didn't transmit the greatest sound quality. For that reason, I've been using a cassette adapter for my car (yes I said cassette...I purchased my car prior to CD player or aux was standard on most cars). If you have an auxiliary port. Regardless, the MoPho specific car dock made by Motorola is absolutely fantastic, if you have an auxiliary port or a 3.5mm input.

Another vote for the Jawbone Icon. I also have a Jawbone ERA and they both work great.

Yeah, but estimated delivery is in a couple weeks...LOL.
So i already received the batteries and i'm actually using them right now. What I found was that the batteries were ok at the outset, but when the batteries reached 50% and lower, it went for 50% to 20% to 5% in a matter or minutes. Is this a matter ir just conditioning the batteries a few times?

Did you get the same ones I got or different?

I got the 1500 mAh batteries (3). Dang, it just did it again. Seems that once I start streaming over 3g it just dies in about ten minutes

What I used to do with my EVO is swap out the battery when I get home, so I never really had to charge the phone, unless it was docked in the car. Use the cheap battery for when you're at home and about to sleep. When you wake up, swap it out for the OEM.
