I don't know about any of you, but I think I'll go to the Sprint store tomorrow to check out the Epic 4g Touch....just to see if I'll still want the AT&T Version.

Been following this thread for a month now so I figured I would add something. I called the 611 number today and spoke with a level 1 support person. I flat out asked her about the phone. She really didn't know what phone I was referring to. She put me on hold and came back only to say that the only thing on her system was the Galaxy Tab. I gave her some more details(such as it releasing tomorrow on Sprint) and she asked me if I minded being put on hold again so she could call Samsung.
Upon coming back she told me Samsung stated it would release tomorrow(as in the 16th). I asked her if that was the Sprint version or the AT&T version. She stated again that it would be on AT&T tomorrow.
I'm not sure if I believe her or not. I believe she was truthful with me and helped as much as she could. If she's wrong then I figure that they mixed up the Sprint and AT&T version. I would think that if the phone actually released tomorrow then the level 1 support people would have had training and would know the details of the phone.
TIFWIW, it might be worth a shot to call your local AT&T store tomorrow.

You better find something else to eat because you won't have to eat your words.Samsung has very little to do with the release...but I am totally willing to eat my words come tomorrow morning

Does it bother anyone else that the Atrix matched or beat the GS2 in most of the benchmarks?

I know I've seen other reviews of the international SGS2 and it was always at the top of near the top of its performance tests, and it did beat Atrix. A dual core 1.2 1Gig ram versus a dual core 1.0 with 1Gig of ram...the SGS2 "should" be faster....but even if it really isn't I'm not too bothered by that.
I know the SGS2 is a quick performing phone and thats all I need to know. Not to mention, the screen is much better.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Atrix very much and had the intentions of buying one until I actually got a hold of one in the store and saw the screen quality. (horrible if you ask me). So I tried another store....same quality. It might have a qHD higher resolution screen, the the arrangment of the pixels on that penTile screen really just killed the deal for me. Pictures and photos looked terrible.
If it weren't for that, I'd be a happy Atrix user right now.
If it was missed in my post....I am saying it isn't coming out tomorrow....
sometimes your posts confuse me brother Ed![]()

ok i called a local AT&T store on TUES Sept. 13. I asked when the galaxy s2 was coming out he said "we're actually having a meeting regarding that phone tomorrow, so you should call tomorrow because we'll have more information on it."
Wednesday 14Sept. got out of school I called and asked the lady if she knew when the official release date for this phone was. She said we just got information about the phone and that there is no official date for when it's being released, BUT it IS coming out this September. I asked if it was for sure in September she said yes.
you can quote me on that but i'll do better; heres the AT&T store i called, ask for yourself: 1222 W Lathrop Rd, Manteca - (209) 824-9333 "Parrot AT&T"
So after talking to my local store today and yes it's a Corp. Store, the worker who I deal with all the time flat out told me it has now bee pushed back to release side by side with the new iPhone!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!
Is there any reason why I shouldn't just go down to a Sprint store and get one today?! I'm only staying with AT&T because I'm grandfathered into my unlimited data plan. But Sprint has unlimited data and messaging for $79 which is 20 bucks less. Is Sprint service just really bad or something? I've heard that their "4G" isn't fast but is their typical data and cell service at least as good as AT&T?

That changed of today. Now you only get 3 days to get your activation money back, 14 days to bring the phone back, and you pay for the plan (pro-rate I am guessing)...........Oh, the best thing about Sprint was (is, if it hasn't changed) their 30 day full refund policy. If you cancel within 30 days you get every penny back including activation.......
Geez, Today! That sucks. I guess they finally smartened up and have become Verizon Jr..That changed of today. Now you only get 3 days to get your activation money back, 14 days to bring the phone back, and you pay for the plan (pro-rate I am guessing).
