So it's definitely official now...we all know that the galaxy Note 2 on Verizon will have not just backplate branding but on the Home button as well.
A shame since there are plenty of ample other opportunities to let us know whose network we're using, (you know the one with the name on the back, it's apps on the phone, on the lock screen, on the homescreen and the one we pay our bills to monthly) More irksome since none of the other carriers deemed it necessary. I have yet to see one in a VZW store yet but did play with one at T-Mobile yesterday.
So what are our options for removing the branding on the button? I'm considering waiting for a site like

to get Note 2 parts in. According to a friend who owns the original Note getting to the button isn't that difficult if you've got an eyeglass screwdriver set.
