Because I want a slim phone that lasts longer. Plus I am an HTC fan. I was never a fan of the Incredible look and this phone seems to be an Incredible update instead of a TB2 update. Give me a 4.5 inch TB2.

Ill probably still get this but I am not itching to get it like I was before all the pictures popped up.

Those cases look pretty cool, and I just might have to jump on that (or another) monster battery. I never bought an extended battery for my Inc though, do they make cases for phones that fit extended battery door setups?

htcpedia sold a case for the htc extended battery (i'm using both right now)

plus seidio offered a monster 3200mah battery and an Innocase for the Inc as well..

I was on board with the Vigor up until last night. Ice Cream Sandwich looks incredible, and the Galaxy Nexus looks like it'll be a great device to have a pure Google/ Android experience on. As much as I like HTC Sense I think I want to try an Android device in its raw form. I'll definitely be checking the Vigor/ Rezound out at the store before I make a final decision, but I'm convinced I'll be going with the Galaxy Nexus.

i'm not 100% convinced of anything. I LOVE my Sense but ICS looks amazing and I'm not sure how long it will take htc to figure out how to incorporate ICS into their UI. I want to hold them both and see which I like more before dropping $300 on either one. (I'm guessing on the price but it seems like the going price for the new LTE phones)

Just that rumor is enough for me to just wait and see. I'm in no major or urgent hurry to jump yet. Some what patient enough to wait and see maybe what my float out to us for Christmas sales. My Dinc is still holding up good so far. ;)

I already thought that might be why we were getting such sparse "leak" material, suggesting a delay, but I felt it was too far-fetched to even mention. I say bring it on though!

holy moly that extended battery back looks like its thicker than the phone itself.

What is the latest word on this thing for a release date. Last rumor i heard was around Nov 10.

You guys honestly think this camera is going to be better than the G Nex? How so?

While it would be nice, that has to be some of the flimsiest "logic" I've ever heard...

LOL, besides, hasn't HTC already come out and said "we don't know what we are going to do with this yet!"

I just came across that while I was at work, doing my hourly google of the HTC Rezound/Vigor to break up the montony of my day :)

If the camera improvements are a part of ics then nexus will be better imo

yeah i think there may have been a few hardware advances on the G Nex as well.

Oh well it can't be any worse than my camera on the DX

Don't forget that HTC just started putting a new and improved back-lit, f2.2 camera on some of its high-end phones. See the Engadget review of the Amaze 4G camera here: HTC Amaze 4G review -- Engadget

If this camera is on the Rezound, it will be awesome, and IMO it will compete vigorously (:p) with any smartphone camera out there. Anyone heard any rumors on whether or not this camera will be on the Rezound?

***Edit: The new HTC camera also has zero shutter lag, speed shot, panorama, etc. just like the stock ICS camera.

So I had this exchange on Facebook today with HTC...it figures

You have quite an odd last name....Oh and PSSST, when we quote you, your REAL last name is available just an FYI! ;)

This is off topic and I take no pleasure in the man's death, but I personally despised everything he and his company stood for, despite all their success and innovation... I just think this is TOO funny:

I think I would be pissed too if I had my ideas stolen from me and lets be honest, Google offering to settle shows that they probably did lift some of the iPhone's ideas. Even though I don't use many of his products (Save for an iPhone given to me by my employer and the Mac computer that my mother's always wanting me to tweak for her) I don't imagine our technology would be where it's at now if it wasn't for him.

I still think as big a flop as the iPhone 4S is (no 4G wth?) it's still the phone to beat on the market. Sure it's more locked down than a virgin on prom night with an overly protective father but for what things it's built to do (like surf non-flash based websites) it does them better than most products out there.

And now to get back on topic, if the Rezound/Vigor/TB2 has a battery life even HALF as long as the iPhone 4 I use, I'll be quite impressed, which is kind of a sad thing to have to say...

I'm still waiting on for my E-mail officially announcing the Thunderbolt

I'll be thrilled if they release a dock that supports the extended battery as well as the regular one, just like Motorola did for the Bionic. :)

lol, I heard that when the Incredible came out people were getting text notifications that the phone was out while they were at Verizon purchasing their Incredible.

That and a car dock. I love having a GPS unit-like holder for my Motorola Droid & hope that if I get the extended battery for this phone, it would still work in it's GPS mount
