Thats what I thought... I understand what you mean, but still cant get it to play ball... I extracted it to a folder on my desktop, but cant get it to navigate to it... Says 'System cannot find path specified'
Sorry, this is all new to me...
Are you using windows 7? (If you are not on windows 7, your desktop directory will be somewhere else - I think c:\documents and settings\users or something like that, it's a while since I used an older windows OS)
If so, you need to launch a command prompt, ensure it is on the c: drive.
Then type:
cd\users\<currentusername>\desktop
for me, that's:
cd\users\gilles\desktop
Press enter
once there, type dir and then press enter
that will show you all files on your desktop (confirm it is your desktop that you see - ie. the files are what you have on your desktop)
Then type:
cd\android-sdk_r05-windows\android-sdk-windows\tools
Press enter
I think that should be right for you, unless you called your extract something different.
Now you are in the tools directory....
You should then be able to run the commands from that point. Remember, you need to have HTC Sync installed and your phone connected in sync mode.
I'm still debating whether to do the root... I've got my gold card sd card now, but I'm worried about the implications of rooting.
I want to be able to get official updates - Can I still do this if it is rooted? If not, what options do I have for updating?
Thanks all! Hope my explanation helps you!
