Why do you THINK Apple wants these stopped? Think about it. Apple may realize that HTC resolved the issue legally, but if Apple can get these phones delayed for a substantial period of time, say a month or more (and my sources are telling me that's quite probable), people will not want to wait and will instead opt for other phones, including the iPhone. Granted, not everyone will run to the iPhone, but even if a good chunk did, that's a lot of new business for Apple.

Convenient, huh?

Yeah that's definetly the intention but if the only thing they can stop them on is this single thing then it seems like customs isn't very phone tech savvy and guessed that they would find something.... When the wheels come to a halt it probably takes alot of effort to get the momentum back

LoL

WifelyMon is away staying with a daughter, I got my feet up watching Seven Samurai, and imagining the LTEvo samurai taking out the Apple bandits.

I guess not every day needs to go over a hundred to be a good one. ;) :)

Seven Samuri, my #1 favorite movie (yes, even before Star Wars IV, V, & VI). Very cool.

Well, I'm finally done with work for today so I finally get to relax. Time to step away from the computers and decompress for a bit. So everyone enjoy your evening.

My thoughts were that the LTEvo's specs surpass those of the iPhone 5 on every level. I remember the reports from last year that Apple was soon going to release the world's first 3D phone.... if i recall correctly, the announcement was made a week before the 3D's release. And then the 4S came out. If that was true, I wouldn't be surprised if apple was secretly badly burned by HTC, and now they are seeking to avoid a repeat. This is all just speculation though.

AC did there pod cast. Any-who its 17mins worth of LTEVO talk and thankfully its the first 17min :) Cuz, LTEVO is all we to hear about  Since EM is pimp'n some 7 samurai with feet up on Friday :p Why not a little LTEVO TV to go along with it!

Android Central 96: HTC stuck in Customs, multitasking mayhem, Google Music drama - YouTube

The first 17min is LTEVO, if your bored you can go the full hour :p
On a side note, Phil does bash Sprints network. I know in some areas its deserved. Instead of dealing with poor service, obviously need to switch to a carrier rich in your neighborhood IMHO :)

Sprints been good to me! 2.5mb down on 3g since tower upgrade. (Just saying)

Side, Side note was out at Samurai Sushi and was able to get this Sprint connection, not overly impressiveby by todays standards, but hey we been doing this stuff for years :D

I asked the Magic 8 Ball If the LTEvo will ship on Monday -

I don't see how you can argue with quality results!

My Amazon.com pre-order got its estimated ship date changed to July 5th. That better not be correct.

Here it is from inside Sprint

So, you want to cancel your pre-order of the HTC EVO 4G*LTE?

This is a question that I’ve gotten a lot in the past couple of days – How can I cancel my pre-order? Normally, that would be a very easy answer, because in any other normal situation, you really couldn’t ‘cancel’ a pre-order other than refusing shipment once it’s arrived. But these are certainly not ‘normal’ times, are they? Never before in the many years that I’ve been here have we ever found ourselves in this situation. So for that reason, things have changed multiple times over the past few days regarding how cancellations are handled for this particular situation. And they could change again, but for the time being, you’re witnessing a huge corporation do something that it rarely does – make changes based on customer need/response in near real-time (trust me when i say these changes would normally takes weeks or months to roll out). For you that’s probably boring and not the point, but for some of us, it’s history in the making. If nothing else, I*hope we will have learned a few things from this ordeal as a company, and make some changes to both policies and communications. Maybe I’m dreaming. But anyways.. onto why you’re here.

So… if you realllllly need to cancel your pre-order, you can now do so. But before you decide to do that, let me say that I fully expect this phone to be in our hands by next week. And I’m also waiting for my HTC EVO 4G LTE! So while I can make no promises, or give you any new info yet… If my mom asked me when she’d have her new EVO, I’d say next week

But, if you can’t wait, or have special circumstance, or are just really mad at the customs folks, there are ways to cancel your order. Here we go:

If you signed up for the DWL (Device Waiting List) at a Corporate Sprint Store:

Customers who pre-ordered the device at a company-owned Sprint Retail Store purchased one $50 Sprint gift card to add their name to DWL for each device they wished to purchase.
Customers can contact the store and request removal from the store’s DWL.
Remind customers the Sprint gift card was a required purchase to be on the DWL. They are non-refundable, can be used to buy any device or accessory, and can be used to credit their Sprint bill.
To recap, contact the store, they’ll remove your name, and put the $50 towards your Sprint bill.*
If you pre-ordered for Direct Ship (sprint.com):

Contact Order Support @*866-789-8292 during the following business hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am EST to 11:00 pm EST, and Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am EST to 9:00 pm EST.
Explain you wish to cancel your pre-order, and you’ll be warm-transferred to the escalations/helpdesk to process the request.
Should there be more than a 4 minute hold time for the esc desk, the agent*should get their supervisor to email the request to a back office team that will handle the request.
Advise customer the credit card refund request has been submitted to the*Refunds Department.
Once approved, the customer receives either an email or voice mail alerting them of the refund and the expected timeline.*If not approved, the customer receives a phone call from Sprint
There you have it. I’m hoping that Monday we get some good news and I get to tell you good things, but I don’t have a magic 8-ball into customs. I can tell you that I’ll likely have knowledge of it as SOON as it happens, so you will be among the first to know :)

So could it be next week, like early? Hmmmmm.

I can wait really but I just want a DATE.

It's all this unknown that's driving me crazy. One site keeps hinting they think its still next week sometime, another says up to 4 weeks and another it could be months.

I know nothing about the process that is going on but I would think there has to be some kind of timeline to have an inspection done, then its either a go or wait for HTC for a fix then another inspection.

Htc already fixed it with a work around, now just waiting for the go.

Thats the problem, there isn't anything to fix. The phones are in compliance, HTC fixed this a few months ago.

If the powers that be decide that something else needs to change, it will be a while before we get em. Pure speculation on my part. ;)

I've struck a deal with the local BB sales Dood: I'm working out of town for the next few months, and BB's policy is to only hold a phone for a few days, I think I read 72 hours somewhere, they will hold mine for as long as it takes for me to get there. I pre-ordered, and I'll be getting one period. :)

I'm not really worried about it, it is just a phone after all. ;)

I finally got some kind of contact from radioshack... I had to post on their Facebook wall a couple times but what I got was the SAME thing that sprint issued in the beginning but they changed it to their name.... At the end promising that anyone who pre ordered with radioshack will be among the first

I am not impressed. Lol... It's frustrating that when you contact these companies they don't know that I already know everything there is to know.. But they try and sooth you with the same answer over and over

I also wanted to add - Amazon has asked me to confirm that I'm ok with this date otherwise THEY will be cancelling my pre-order. That seems like they feel somewhat confident in it to me.

Since it also shows "Carrier Approved" in my Status - does this mean sprint has already recognized this as already happening, as in does this wipe out my upgrade eligibility even if I cancel the pre-order?

Ony thing to do is refuse delivery. But at this point why? Stick with Htc and Sprint. Apple thinks that they can bully and tell you what you think you want and how you should act based on their principles. Like all the other isheep.

And now apple wants to ban the Samsung tablet. Really?

There is no way I will be getting an iPhone. If anything I would switch to Verizon and snag a Galaxy Nexus through them (actually actually get the 4G I've been promised with sprint for 2 years now).

And I don't think I'd need to refuse the shipment - Amazon sent me an email stating that if I don't sign in and approve them changing the date they themselves will cancel the order.

IMHO Sprint needs to make this right and do something for the customers - maybe waive the activation fee? Has anyone called in and complained?

I just called Sprint cause my friend paid 115 to get his upgrade early and now that the release date is unknown and it's taking longer he could of waited and maybe saved some money cause the price goes down every month. Anyway Sprint offered him a 15 dollar credit off the 115 and said if it turns into next month they will credit again. But she claimed there really expecting this to be resolved at the beginning of the week and our hoping phones get shipped out by Tues or Wed but she said she really can't say for sure. But she did say she doubt it will be months that 2 weeks tops and there really shooting for by the end of the month. Guess will just wait and see.

It sucks cause I already promised someone my phone and all my accessories tomorrow afternoon but he needs the phone and i need the money. So I have two choices for a week or so Lotus or Katana DLX LOL!
