Official Swype on Incredible discussions

Damn! The voice input went away on the Swype keyboard. When I first updated the beta version, a voice input option key (microphone) was on the keyboard to the left of the spacebar. It worked flawlessly except profanity appeared as "xxxx" instead of the word. Now it is gone.

sucked donkey balls compared to swype ...

If their not careful they may end up pissing people off over this...

Is it their fault the beta got distributed? no, but it doesn't matter

the fact is its blown up into a HUGE following, when everyone's beta expired earlier today they're going to come looking for a replacement.

I expect this board to blow up(and many others) as people get off work.


To the admins, if your really going to control threads about this (good luck) I would put up a sticky explaining its illegal to distribute the APK on the boards.....

I signed up for the beta a few weeks ago and never heard back from them*. I just went to Swype, logged in to the account I had created when requesting a spot as a beta tester, and it's letting me download the new beta version!

I just installed it and it's working fine.

*No, it didn't get caught in my spam folder.
 
Ridiculous. This is by far one of the most important apps on my phone. If they'd release it, I'd pay for it without hesitation. I want to support the devs, but they're taking their good ol' time with releasing it. I was using the beta that just expired today since I got my phone with no major functionality issues. What's the major hold up? I can't see the point in limiting its release, especially when expiration is specifically built in.
 
Update:
Apparently I signed up at some point because I just got an email from Swype with instructions for how to download their latest version of Swype Beta . . . even though I currently have a working custom skin version right now, I'm going to download the official beta version to see if it has any added bells & whistles.
 
They probably realized they better get it out when a lot of them expired today, and a lot of people blew up the forums looking for it. Everyone wants it and the betas seem to work well enough, so why not release it. :D
