[Official] The "I have received Froyo!" Thread

Right, i got it as well. :D

Can anyone please brief me about the basic differences between the two? What are the major things to look for in this update? Thanks.
 
Blah. I'm still stuck with the "not available try again" message. I wish it would grab the update already. I've been checking all day.
 
The OTA updated my non-rooted X without issue.

One problem I have noticed already: I have a folder on my home screen that contains several of my most used apps. With 2.1 I could touch the folder icon and it would open to reveal the icons for the apps, which I then could launch whichever app I wanted. With 2.2 nothing happens when I touch the folder on the home page. It doesn't open to reveal the app icons.

I can long press the folder and the trash icon appears at the bottom, so I might try deleting the folder and recreating it.

Edit: deleting the folder and recreating it worked.

I was having the same problem. Go into data manager, then data delivery, and I bet you have social networks set to only sync during wifi. Uncheck this, and the update will appear.

I had it checked previously, but I unchecked it prior to checking for updates because I figured that may be an issue. After several reboots, I now received the update notice so I'm currently pulling it to my phone...fingers crossed that my phone doesn't get stuck on the "M" screen like others have...
 
OTA installed; only hitch was it got stuck on the boot "M" screen so after 20 min I did a battery pull and it rebooted / loaded fine. I didn't move the phone or anything so something on the software side caused this. All is running fine now.
