[Official] What Changes Have You Noticed After Updating to 2.2 (Froyo)?

Biggest improvement for me by far is the stock keyboard. Coming from an iphone I had some trouble adjusting to the X keyboard because of the size of the spacebar. I noticed that I was constantly hitting the universal ".," button. Seems that they axed the universal button for simply the "." As well as making the spacebar a little larger while making the two buttons to the left and right of it a little smaller.

This was a much welcomed improvement!

I was hoping for a bit more of a bump for the X. Looks like a 200 point increase. Stock kernal + froyo = around +400 (score of around 850) for the Droid when I rooted and installed froyo.

I do not believe this leaked version has the JIT, so perhaps we must wait for the official verzion push.

No more castle crunch!? Can't even find it on market. That was the second thing I noticed.

I benchmarked 100 over the last 2.1 post wipe test. Probably means this isn't a complete build (no JIT?)

I am already sending phone back for replacement for another reason (3G disappears occasionally) so thought the leak might fix the current issue. I have until tuesday+ 10 days before I need send it in.

Good camera improvements, and I really think I am liking the bigger callouts on the key presses, and I am excited about the quick access !?,@ _ characters.

Where oh where did my beloved "character zoom while positioning the cursor" go to? That was brilliant if not fallable.

I really wish the landscape keyboard was a bit less intrusive over the web form.

Update: Google Chrome to Phone Extension by chrometophone now usable!

Linpack number have gone from 8 - 14. That is a pretty large jump, I believe JIT is included though maybe not maximized.

I love the new flash feature where everything doesn't load unless you choose it, this was really slowing down browser performance with the beta versions.

Is there more control over contacts now - are all Facebook contacts still imported into the address book (hopefully there's a way to control this now)?

Google Maps loads even faster now...lol Location, GPS lock seems faster. Using the GPS or wireless networks the location lock is faster. Of course the GPS is more accurate tho.

I just noticed the Location thing in the browser wasnt working in 2.1. It does now.

Froyo....if folks dont have bad installs.....is an amazing thing. I hope each OS version just gets better n better.

And I definitely love this: if u misspell a word when searching the Market...u get suggested words. And u get the closest matches.

Very nice.

Before Froyo, if u misspelled a word, u would just get a no match. LOVE the Market on 2.2

My USB connection no longer works. Neither my PC or desktop can recognize the X anymore. Both say they cannot find a driver for it. I posted a thread about this under the Support forum.

Just tried in PC Mode and USB Mass Storage and have no problems with my PC seeing my X and being able to get to the data on my X on my PC.

Did they fix the Contact History privacy issue - where deleted sms, call logs, etc are stored even after they are deleted?

Reboot the phone with the USB plugged into the computer.

Also, long pressing the full stop (period) gives you a pop out with other commonly used punctuations.

Maps still won't work!!!!!!
Help.

Maps work, what is it NOT doing? I'm affraid, (and glad) they might have updated the app, it used to be on my home page, after the update its gone. I found it resting in the app tray. Its on the market correct? unless it was packed into the zip you can try to update/uninstall/reinstall the app - mine works fine, but I couldn't tell you the previous ver #.
