So I'll just come out and say that the Nexus section is no where near as bad ass as the Esteem section. I cant get anything answered. Pffft Go figure right?

So I'll ask my question over here since it's kind of universal.

Ever since installing the drivers, I'll reboot my PC and it will re install them every single time. Literally everytime I reboot they install. Why is that? Any thoughts?

If your running windows try running it through administrator mode
If you right click it you will see the option

I've had this happened to my esteem the first few days. Can't remember when it stopped (I don't reboot that often either)

It happened to the Asus tf300t I just bought at least twice, and but I figured there were different drivers (fast boot, adb, apx, etc)

Side note: I did tell you Esteems ATR is where is at

Offtopic: found out recently Asus builds Nexus I conjuction with Google or vice versa. Did not know known that.

Have you tried to update the driver in device manager ?
Or try a different version of the driver, maybe go back a few version
And try that.

just to add my 2 cents... i know mine re-installs whenever i plug into a diff usb port lol i have like 8 of em so the drivers installed like 8 times already lol, even with usb storage sticks etc.. anytime i use a new port it reinstalls drivers..

Yes, I know this you speak of.

Also, I was wondering about this and no need in making another post.

How does a phone know what "their" cable is? Like I originally hooked the Nexus up to my LG cable that I already had hooked into my PC, and of course I couldn't get the PC to see the phone but I didnt realize right away. But how does the phone know if it's plugged into ITS OWN cable? O_0

In simple terms (and because I don't know the real terms) the cable has its own small connector on both ends of the usb and micro usb (or whatever the nexus uses) which will allow you to charge the phone but not connect to the pc if using a different cable.

You talking about the "housing" around the connector? I figured there was some type of chip or something within the housing that could tell. I think this has happened with my Esteem at some point as well.
