how does the power button compare to the volume up and down buttons? lower, same, or what?
I still feel a little click on the volume rocker button. Nothing on the power button.

After scoping out a few stores (I drive by like 4 of them on my way to work) they are all like this. When I asked the sales associate, they tell me it is how they are designed.
You all need to go back to Verizon and return these phones even though it's a pain to re-activate and reinstall your apps. They need to be held accountable for QA and this is really the only way. I have a feeling they know there were some problems at the outset just as many manufactured goods have. But you should not accept it as stated here.....
THAT is a problem for me and you should not accept it either! The 3 on display in my local store all have raised, firm, responsive buttons and they have been on display for at least 2 weeks now and I imagine, getting pressed dozens of times a day if not hundreds.
So... any followup on this thread? Has anyone gotten their phone replaced and not had this issue come back?
...So far seems good. BUT, it could take a few weeks to see it again, just like my last one...
...as far as the power button becoming recessed, some of you are going off the deep edge..its NOT a mechanical switch, but an electrical contact, so, as long as the button can be pushed down enough to make contact with the terminal, it will work..it might only need to travel 1/64th of an inch to do that, so, stop worrying about nothing, and trying to find things wrong when there is NOTHING wrong...
lets see, Verizon has sold 100,000+ of these phones, and 45 people on this forum "believe" they have this problem??
I'd hardly call this a "weakness" with this phone...
Plus, I bet of the 45 here that claim this is a really problem, 20 or more of them have convinced themselves that it is, whether they have a problem or not..
get the "no lock" app folks, and then you wont have to keep pushing that "extremely fragile" power button on your phone....
Mine still protrudes out and haven't had this problem. I use No Lock.
