This is an All-in-One package to Root and install CWM or RZ Recoveries or to UnRoot and install the stock recovery. I have spent many hours trying to modify this to be as easy as possible for all to accomplish their goals whether by modding or returning to stock. No this will not work on ZVC!

What is This?
This is an exploit built by the Revolutionary team, that was ported to the Esteem by djrbliss, then I was able to fix permissions and install su and superuser. The exploit is not built by me, rather by the Revolutionary guys. This zip contains the proper drivers for the Revolution, all root files, and the Root&Recovery.bat file. The .bat has been modified to fix ANY of the problems people are having with root, and will make it so that CWM will stick through reboot. It installs the newest versions of the su binary and Superuser.apk. It will also install ClockWorkMod Recovery or RZ Recovery. The unroot will uninstall and delete the su binary and remove Superuser.apk. It will also remove CWM and install the stock ZVB recovery.img. If there are any problems, just let me know.

How Do I Root and Install CWM?:
1) Download zip and extract
2) Install drivers if not already installed
3) Click Root&RecoveryAIO.bat
4) Select what you would like to do

Just so everyone knows, in order to have your phone in Debugging you will need to put it in internet connection mode.

Now I just need to get this DAMN phone!!! lol

and so i'm guessing we have to install superuser.apk manually? would this work with adb push command and what would be the folder/path to install it?

All of this happens in like a second, I don't have root tools in my phone, I don't have SuperUser.apk, and root explorer still not able to delete bloatware. For these reasons I'm guessing I'm not rooted.

Does anyone know what I can do?

install the esteem adb drivers

If you did that you can always try updating your android sdk

super user should install automatically. As for adb push commands, for now no they will not work to /system. You can push to sdcard then in shell cat them into /system.
 
i have no idea what i was doing wrong but once i downloaded oneclickroot a second time it worked...i am not officially rooted :)
 
I don't know what's wrong.
Every time I plug the phone in and select internet connection: I get Debug working, but computer tells me new hardware found for "CDC Serial" I open up run.bat It hangs on daemon started successfully. Doesn't do anything else??!

It usally does that when you dont have drivers installed
you can always run adb in CMD and type adb devices and see what comes up. if it doesnt show anything then you don't have the drivers installed

or you can just download the drivers from the page you downloaded the root zip and install them again.
 
After you install the drivers turn off phone while pluged to the computer then power phone the drivers should all install then try the root process again

Im rooted all bloatware removed and i can tether,take screenshots and i added adfree no more adds lol and my phones faster then my friends evo lmao go metro
 
I'm good now! It worked! @blaxin: What did you use to remove bloatware? And which ones did you remove?? I want to make sure I don't delete anything that's necessary.

To anyone who got the OTA update, was your phone randomly rebooting before and did the update fix it? Thanks in advance.
