Root [One Click]Esteem Root, Recoveries, Unroot, Etc. All in One Pkg.

So I installed the drivers, and tried to do the One-Click root method..The CMD prompt pops up, and this is what it says "Daemon not running. Starting it now.. Daemon started successfully".. but thats it. It stays there. Been waiting for like 5 minutes, to see if something else happens, but nothing. It just stays there. Debugging is on the Internet mode. What is wrong? Or is there another way to do it?

Did u press a button to continue

Yea.. I do that, before the whole "Daemon not running. Starting it now.. Daemon started successfully" thing. Then it stays there.. I wait, and wait, and wait.. But nothing at all happens :/ Maybe its the drivers? How do I know if the drivers installed successfully?

Ok never mind.. I installed some different drivers, and a different root method, other than the one in this thread. And it worked fine.. Now I'm rooted :D!!

Where you able to root with the new update ending in ZVC?

I just rooted, had the "b" version I noticed since trying to do the convert back thinking I had "c".
The one thing I did and now notice others had a problem with out of the gate. When you download the drivers, allow time if not verify that your computer installs them. Sometimes it takes a moment. If you don't it'll drive you to drink and cuss. LOL Thank you all for what you do.

is this like gingerbreak for the optimus? as in an app you install on the phone then root directly from the phone? if it is ill consider doing it, if its the superoneclick bullshit then ill stay stock. Never had luck with superoneclick (ultimatly messed up all my phones)

Its not like gingerbreak but isn't like superone click. Its a batch file. Not a program like superone click.

Its totally painless! Much easier than downgrading ;)

It usally does that when you dont have drivers installed
you can always run adb in CMD and type adb devices and see what comes up. if it doesnt show anything then you don't have the drivers installed

or you can just download the drivers from the page you downloaded the root zip and install them again.

i have this problem, and i have reinstalled the drivers numerous times and rebooted while connected. still can't get this to go past this message. how do you do the "run adb in cmd" part?

or is there an alternate way to install the drivers? it doesn't give me a message saying they are installed...

i must be dense. i did this on my mac (had to use PC for other one). put in debugging, internet connection, ran the linux one. held volume +- and power, it rebooted into reset...and reset my phone. not a problem, i had backed it up. but why can't i do either of these??:(

Open your settings and go to about phone and see what SW version you have. Zvb or Zvc
