Root One Click Root for Metro PCS

Unfreeze the Chinese app, download supersu, open it and you'll be asked to grant it superuser permissions from the Chinese app, allow access then it will ask to update binary, click yes. Then just do this go under settings/apps/all and click the Chinese app, check disable. Then you're good to go just DON'T EVER delete the supersu app unless you've installed another one and updated it's binaries first, as it will be installed in the data/app folder or you'll have to redo the process I just mentioned.

Oops, I didn't do one small thing, I forgot to check the update box. All is good now thanks for the quick reply. Both you and toke helped so much I don't think I would've had the confidence to do this without you. Have a beer and a toke on me

i spent all night obsessing over this and came across this one click method. it worked flawlessly thanks foor everyones input

I just upgraded from the LG Motion. I loved how easy it was to root that phone. Thanks to you this one was even easier!

Much appreciation!!!

Just wondering some things....1. Do i dl su after running one-click and restarting? Or should i update binaries with the Chinese su first? 2.Will app2sd be functioning afterwards? 3. How easy is it to go back to store bought condition (w/o bricking it)? 4. Any word on an update from LG that would fix the storage problem?

I'm kind of new to this whole rooting process. Can somebody give me a clear, step-by-step on how to root this phone? I'm just not understanding everything that's going on and I don't want to mess the phone up. Thanks.

didn't see this post. my bad. but what about the app 2 SD issue and locking the phone in case of returning it for service.

Just got a L9 from metroPCS today in the and I rooted it using this method. THANKS!!

After I installed super user from google play and gave it root privileges, then deleted the Chinese root app and it works fine for new apps :)

I did not update from v20b to v20d as it could make a difference

I just deal with the chinese app and this thread now has me paranoid to delete it lol
i only notice the app anyway when i install something and a notification written in mandarin(im assuming) pops up in my system tray. Anywho theres enough engrish in the su app itself for me to delete the bloat and to remove certain apps from being booted.

I've grown fond of this Chinese app; it does more than just grant apps root access. It has built-in optimization, uninstaller, and so forth. I don't speak or read the language, but I know what prompts are what based on English super user apps, and a lot of the application is written in (poor) English. I can dig it!

I've actually been hearing some disturbing claims about this app, check the f6 forum for what I mean, look in metro atr area. I'm busy and can't type a long post

so I managed to get root access...I can freeze apps on tb and used busy box but I can't uninstall any bloatware it just freezes and says that "tb not responding fc/wait?"
