Sounds like a boot loop. Did you just get this phone or did you mess around with stuff and mess up somewhere along the way?

You can try doing a factory reset.

I wanna say with your phone off you press and hold the HOME, POWER, and VOLUME DOWN buttons until the android guy pops up.

Let us know if that works.

what pops up exactly for you because i did this yesterday i am only rooted but have no custom rom and i get the lg logo but no android guy just the android splash screen and then the phone powers on with everything being reset. keep in mind however that i deleted bloatware before and that does not show up when the phone powers back on if this isnt happening for you maybe you deleted something you werent supposed to

after the android guy poped up, a triangle with an exclaimiton point and the android under that, then after a long time it went away the screen went black but was on for a long time and now it went back to the lg screen -_- . i dont c how i could have messed it up bc i have been using the phone for two days after being rooted and it worked perfectly

okay so i got to the part where u have to drag and drop MS690.dll on top of the file Reggie.exe. but when i do it tells me that "execption occured" what doi have to do to do it right im using an hp laptop running on vista

Hello, I have the same problem...

I was using rom manager and a coworker grabbed the phone from me and selected the 'partition sd card'. he thought it'd be funny to wipe my whole card. I ripped out the battery at the lg screen after reboot to prevent reformat and now its stuck powering up to lg screen ONLY. It will NOT go into emergency mode and I mean i've sat there holding vol down + power + home for 10 minutes straight. i have a 2g sd card that came with this and i originally swapped it out with an 8g. would the original 2g have a rescue mode? is this permabricked?

PS computer WILL NOT recognize

From what I've read bouncing around here, ROM Manager itself will brick our phone model. Some have had success using andyo70's LGNPST method to unbrick their phones.

Thank you for responding. The Youtube video tutorial I watched (2 parts, if this is what you're referring to) The phone was recognized by the computer. Mine is not. It won't even go into emergency mode.

I would stop everything and take your coworker to the nearest Metro store and make him buy you a new phone! If he refused, I would talk the the human resources department (if you have one) or the company management/owner if you are a small company. If none of that worked, I would file a police report for property damage. He might not like you too much after all is said and done, but that is some BS!!!

If all that failed, I would probably give him a little beat down in the parking lot.

As for your problem with recognizing the phone, I remember seeing that certain versions of Windows did better at it. I believe Win 7 does well.

Took it to metro pcs store and convinced them to give me a new one out of box in exchange for free because it was in the same 30 days. Thanks all.
