OTA Update Starting today?

I finally got mine overnight and as soon as I woke up my girlfriend was like your phone had a message on it asking to update so I clicked update....man I was pissed lol.

I got my update today. NYC.
 
Yup mine was waiting for me this morning when I checked my phone at 7:00EST. Very easy - just pushed a button and a few minutes later it was done. The unlock screen was the first thing I noticed, and the Power Control widget looks different (slight change to default theme?).

Got my update this morning when I woke up 7 am EST in Indianapolis. Bought mine on launch day.

Phone seems quicker overall. Noticed the Gmail Calander widget got a nice facelift among the other changes people have seen.
 
I just did the OTA and now the phone won't connect to the internet...Significant home screen and widgets lag.
GPS won't update location.
Cached Gmail opens up in landscape mode...

Power cycled 3 times and did a *228 with no improvement.

What did they do to my baby?

I woke up to a pop up telling me to upgrade. Ran the upgrade, everything was smooth. So far it looks good. I'm in Phoenix, AZ

Pull the battery out for a few seconds and put it back in and see if that helps.

If that doesn't help I'd call Verizon, or do a factory reset (under Privacy in Settings) and see if that works. It'll remove all apps and data from the phone, but everything on your SD card will be left alone. You'll have to re-activate the phone as you did when you first got it. Your apps should re-install automatically.

had mine waiting for me when i got up at 4:30PST. played with it for an hour while getting dressed for work. Runs smoother, no probs with Home ++, browsed the internet with no scrolling probs, listen to a few podcast, checked the weather..all with no probs..

It paid to be patient...thank you Jesus

I got my update today. all is good. I was hoping the media player would have a stop button since I thought I saw it mentioned in the leaked Verizon updates list last month.
 
As posted above, got my update at 6amish EST.


*PROBLEM* It's been "Loading Data . Please Wait " Ever since!!!!!

Restarted it, pulled battery. No joy.
 
I had a "failure to connect to the network" notification of my phone this morning. So, thinking it was because verizon had sent me the update notification, i went to my settings and clicked on system updates and sure enough, it said i needed to update. then the fun started. for some reason, my phone wouldn't show either 1x OR 3G connection and neither the browser or the update would work. i tried cycling power and removing the battery to no avail. FINALLY, i turned "airplane mode" on and then back off and it connected to the mobile network (3G) and downloaded, updated, and now all is well again in my world!

Got my update this morning in California. All works well. Only took about 3-4 minutes to update with half the time for the download.
 
I just got it this morning and my usage pattern is erratic, so I can't comment on battery life. Haven't made any calls, so can't comment on that either.

What I can say is that the App list scrolls MUCH smoother (The list that has all your apps in it that you access from the home screen). This being choppy was a real irritant, so the improvement makes me very happy. The camera auto focus definitely seems to work better and is much quicker between snapping shots.

I also prefer the new lock screen. It's great.
 
Woke up for work this morning at 5am and had a message on my phone asking if I wanted to install update. Only thing I noticed so far is that my lock screen is different and that my internet connection is a lot slower!
Anyone else confirm?
