People from UK Read.

The North East of England were asked if they wanted an 'assembly' and they said 'no'.

I used the term 'state' as in something that's made up of counties but not the entire nation - not as a nation state like Luxembourg, or Monaco etc. I don't really see England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as separate 'countries' though that is how they are referred to. I'm British - I never refer to myself as English though that is what I am.

Us Northern Irish aren't British though :(

If I'm in a foreign country, I find people like me a lot more if I say I'm from Ireland as opposed to the UK ^_^

Alex Salmond (Until I saw it written down I thought he was Alex Hammond! :o ) has himself pointed out that the only UK state without its own legislature is England. I'm not sure that we need one.

Of course it does. There's no other way to avoid the conundrum you yourself pointed out in post #93.

This thread has become UK history 101, lol.

Welcome to AnroidForums, hope you're enjoying your new Android phone! Yeah, it's intimidating at first when you jump onto Anroid as it entails a higher learning curve. If you have any questions, search to see if someone has already posted and if not, don't be afraid to ask. :)

Sorry Lekky, but now that it's been established that you are indeed late (arriving on page 3 of a thread titled, "People from UK Read"), there is really only one way to exonerate yourself.......... buy each Canadian on here a beer!
