People waiting for backordered EVO, raise you hand.

After waiting one week & one day mine arrived last Friday so I've used it for one week now. Am I a happy EVO owner? :D Yup - but the hardest part was checking on line last night and finding the Sold Out notice gone - after all of that waiting!! Congrats to those who can now order on line, and those that made Premiere Upgrade yesterday. You are going to LOVE this phone!! ;)
 
I was told that my Radio Shack's regional warehouse would get more EVO's Friday (today), but shipment to stores wouldn't occur until later and delivery would occur on Tuesday or Wednesday. That risked an exchange AFTER 30 days for me!!

So, on a whim, I called my local Radio Shack today to try again, and WOO HOO, I'm to pick up my replacement EVO tomorrow!

Got mine on the 18th of June, as posted earlier, after pre-order on June 9th at RS. My wife liked it, and another line was eligible for UG on July 1. Ordered hers on 6/24 and got it on 6/30 at the same RS.

Both happy with the Evo!
 
I just got mine today as well... too bad I cannot connect to the 4g network... looks like I'm going to have to get a 4th evo...
 
Waiting for one through telesales. Would have done it in the store however complicated swap process..so waiting..

The new screens to some are not as vivid in colors but are supposed to help save battery life.

Also a trick if you are waiting for a store Evo is..call the store (s) about an hour before closing and say I am down the street and looking for an Evo..doesnt hurt if you say you want 2..one for an upgrade and you are bringing in a customer.. to entice them to find you one.. if they only find one then go in and get it and after the upgrade say have so and so call you tomorrow or whatever sounds good at the moment. Sprint reps now work on commission..so if someone ordered a phone and the rep calls before closing and they cant pick it up..they want that phone gone so they can earn their $$$.
 
Mtbslinger85, Thanks, I don't feel so bad now as I am in the exact same boat. It's frustrating reading about people getting their phones while I am waiting for mine to come in to the store. Waiting...
 
Does anyone know when they will be available again? Would you still buy one if you had to do it over again?
 
My local Sprint store had them in stock because I just swapped mine out for another new one two days ago and yes, I would still buy one if I had to do it over again! I love this phone.
 
This phone is amazing ... coming from Samsung Eternity so I would do all this in a heard beat... Apart from a little leakage I have no problems.

Radio Shack seems to be getting a few in every few days. Got a replacement just 3days after putting my name in a list.

Would I buy it again... Yes due to the fact Sprint has better coverage for me and saves me about $40 per month. If Sprint had the iPhone I'd probably buy it instead due to the quality issues I've dealt with, still dealing with on Evo. It's a good phone, not a great one IMO.
 
i was on several waiting lists at a couple of sprint stores and both told me that i was 20 something in line. in addition i kept checking sprint online and on tues to my surprise @10pm pacific time they still them. so i ordered mine and had it in my hands by thurs! this phone is great!!!!!

just keep checking online
 
My EVO's could arrive tomorrow. No later than the 7th. I had a great (so far!) experience with WireFly.com where I ordered Saturday (the 3rd) at 12:20am (just after midnight) and by 9:03am (same day!) I had approval with Sprint and order sent to processing/shipping. At 12:30pm (just after noon the same day!) the order was SHIPPED! I have FedEx confirmation and tracking info. The phone is just waiting for delivery at the nearby FedEx location (holiday today!).

Also, got the phone for ONLY $109.95 (net)!! After Bing Cashback on each one (2) of $80 while taking advantage of their special offer.

PLUS! No rebate to deal with!!

The forums have armed me with loads of knowledge on how to get them set up and ready to roll. Thanks!
 
I ordered online from walmat - letstalk.com and have been told August 29th...., Its the 6th... : (

My niece has one and it rocks.

They did say that they may change...
 
Ordered mine from Sprint customer service Jul 28th when no notification arrived I called cs again on Thurs Aug. 5 they put it on 'backorder' and it shipped today. Yay!
 
wow cant believe this phone on backorder, friend went into the Sprint store today and got 1, easy as pie, said they had plenty in stock. Here in Portland, OR
 
I called Sprint to say hey wth. they said they dont have any off the phone till Sept. So im going to the stores. Ill cancel my letstalk order pending for August.
 
i also got mine through walmart because i could order it online. little behold i get an email the day after saying it was backordered, called letstalk and they said the end of august. any way to get out of the contract, i'd rather press my luck and try to get earlier
 
I called Sprint to say wth. She set up an account for me. I went to my local Sprint store and they were holding one for a customer who was overdue....

Been playing with my EVO for about three hours... : D

Now I have to cancel that other order.
