So I have an EVO 4G, rooted with the infected eternity ROM. But it doesnt matter what ROM I'm using...usually after I reboot it or it dies and i charge it and it reboots It eases EVERYTHING. Pictures, Music, Videos...all of that. But things like contacts and whatnot are ok. What the hell did I do??
Oh and when I look on my file manager all of the files are there to...
The SD Card is mounted to, but when I unmount it, it wont let me mount it again

moved you to the rooting section.

so are you saying that you have all of your media stored on your card, but your phone does not see it when you reboot it? or are they erased from the card completely? is your card partitioned? what recovery do you have? have you tried to wipe dalvik cache and cache? do you have a different card? it moght be corrupted.

You could have a hardware issue. It looks like the phone has trouble seeing the card after a reboot. First thing I would try is a different card. What size is the card? The EVO doesn't like anything under 8gig. Also how was the card formatted originally? Did you do it on the computer or the phone. I've seen a lot off issues like this with cards that were formatted on the computer. You can try to backup your card and let the phone format it and see if that helps as well.

Yes its partitioned, And I ended up erasing all of the files myself on the computer after awhile.
I do have another card and I suppose I could try that. But being the phone is rooted putting another card in isn't gonna mess anything up is it? (i'm still a little green with rooting) and I formatted it on the phone, not the computer. And I'm running Amon Ra recovery

You can also try booting into recovery and selecting partition. Then select repair ext. That should work. I have the same issue.

You can also do this through term emulator by typing su then hit enter. Then type a2sd repair. After that a2sd reinstall. Phone will reboot and should be fixed.
