Phone Update MS77010e update just released!!

Bootloader still flashes. Same old 308 kernel. Did they update rapsody?
Theres a lot more ram though, with bloatware running. I.e ( 319 free 376 taken, 419 free. 320 taken)
Crazy.
 
Wait i have some extra time. Ubfortunately i can't root riht now but here's some things i noticed. A performance improvement. Scrollig feels better. Apps load much,much faster for me (i.e Music Player took a long time to load with a white screen, this doesnt as it seems.) That's mostly what i noticed. Unfortunately i can't post a mirror to the update. Apologies.

My phone is really speedy with all this metro and lg crapware running back, with Music player running. Its really really fast. And smooth.

Edit: just got that stupid erratic scroll. Still there, unfortunately. Its still smooth though.
 
My DL is almost done, I will post a faster mirror soon for you all ;) I will also test root :D Looks like root works!

I'm receiving the OTA update while rooted. What's the worse that can happen if I update meanwhile rooted?
 
So meanwhile i was getting everything ready to unroot, i thought, "i have a few minutes to kill" so i went with the process of updating my phone while rooted and guess what? It work! :D
 
Does this update have anything to do with the updated my phone received this morning?

I kind of doubt it as it downloaded pretty quickly over Starbucks wifi which is notoriously slow-and from your posts your update seems to have taken aeons.
 
A couple quickie update questions.

My 4 week old Motion has C version. The new one is now 2 versions past mine. I really don't want to root and am about to go No Mas No Mas on the auto update reminderS.

Is it REALLY that much better of an idea to get the update from the website (that I'm not so comfortable doing) than OTA?

Will it updating TWO versions forward at once OTA cause any issues?

Is it better to do the DL via Wifi or 4G?
