Root Phone wont connect to computer

Ive been running the latest version of cm7 now for about a month with no problems, but as of today my phone wont connect to my pc. When i plug in the USB the USB mass storage screen appears, I hit the connect button and it trys connecting for 20-30 sec and never connects. Ive tried multiple computers and usb cords with no help. I'm also not able to manually unmount my sd card from the setting menu. Thanks for any help

Turn off the phone and put the card in an adapter and then in a PC and do a disk check..

I just tried it with no luck, the scan said everything was fine. And still I hit the "turn on USB storage" button, it cycles and never connects

Make a couple of nandroid backups and flash something else. That will tell you whether it's software or hardware.

Go to recovery and see if you can connect using usb storage with that. It should tell if it's a hardware or rom issue.

i went into recovery and it still didnt connect, does that mean im screwed?

Also, sometimes the PC usb drivers can get hosed. Try rebotting your PC if you haven't already.

Does it charge OK? I had to have mine repaired by a nice man at the local mall. It cost about $60 but was worth it. He replaced the whole charging port. It should be a common repair for those that do that sort of thing.
