1- I have no clue and can't find anything on it... Kingston is a memory company so maybe flash storage?
2- Ram (that's about all I can find about it... any more info would be helpfull)

Or maybe these are switched Idk they both make ram, so I don't know which is which. If anyone can find anything more on them that would be great.

Is it possible to get a shot of the antenna maybe we can find out why signal strength is so weak.
I was also reading that the Asus Transformer Prime has signal problems with the GPS and WIFI as well, and user where opening their tabs to find a fix for it.

@Mark121 I'm not sure what on the mobo is the antenna... I have an idea, but I'm not completely sure. I will add more pics to the OP though and maybe someone else can see which one it is. Also I am gonna start marking all the components and labeling them.
 
Thanks Marc, the USB and HDMI ports dont look strong if someone were to ram that plug in. I always have been gentle inserting my plug in my Triumph (sounds wrong, lol). I wanna have this baby for a long time until 4G and powerful processor comes around. Thanks :)

Wow. Its exactly the same pretty much besides having different chips. They have a sandisk flash storage and we have kingston though. Dang.

Edit: actually it looks like all the chips are better branded than what we have :/. They have samsung ram, and sandisk storage. We have Elpida ram (which I've never even heard of), and Kingston storage.
 
SanDisk and Kingston storage are both great company's
Samsung ram thought is better then elpida, I have seen them used
in So-dimms on laptop in DDR2 and DDR3.

I prefer Sandisk over Kingston, IMO it's better quality. I have a Sandisk Cruzer that I bought a couple years ago and it still works. My cousin got a Kingston flash drive and it never worked properly from the beginning. Just my experience with them.

And Samsung ram is good, I've never even heard of elpida so I can't really judge it I guess, but it's not as well known of a company of Samung.
 
My Kingston flash drives outlived my OCZ, Corsair, and SanDisk ones, yet all of these companies are very well-known. I prefer to wait to see benchmarks before making conclusions, although to be honest I'm not sure it'd really even make a difference. The thing that really concerns me is that we're supposed to have 512MB of RAM, and yet we only have 350 something available and I have yet to find an explanation, though I'm sure it's dedicated to some other Android function or was partially disabled during binning so they could give us cheaper chips or something, like the CPU/GPU industry does.

Correction we do have 512 mb of ram, only 350 is visible to the user, and around 100 available to the user.

Then I suppose I'm baffled by the decision to tuck away part of it for the system to use, and then list the remaining 350MB as available and yet the system uses most of that too. Why not tuck the entire system into the "missing" memory or just make it all visible, or is this something pertaining to Java/the JVM?

I'm not exactly sure on that, but I do know not all the ram is shown. If you look on any phone it will show less than it has. My MT4GS shows having 576 MB of ram, with around 150 available, even though it has 768 MB of ram. Its the same with every phone. Maybe someone else can explain it better, because I honestly don't know exactly. All I know is android doesn't need very much ram to run.

With the Prime, the aluminum housing is the problem. The new version due out this summer has a plastic piece across the top to allow better rf transmission.

For some reason I got an error message about not being authorized, so I couldn't see the picture, but all of the phones I have dismantled, that don't have an external antenna, the antenna is a small piece of formed metal, attached to the inside of the housing. It makes contact with the board when the case is snapped into place.

Then is it possible that the whole phone's housing is the antenna? There isn't anything like that although there a lot of metal pads, and on the inside of the back housing it is basically all metal.
 
What is underneath that little circle thing below the battery cover? That's been driving me nuts ever since I got this phone. Is it a screw cover?
 
soooo...i have a rather dumb question....sense we can easily find the flash storage is it possible to upgrade it to a larger amount of storage??? or am i living in a dream world??? lmaoooo

You're living in a dream world. lol In no means would it be easy... possible? maybe... But you could need access to a machine to be able to solder/ desolder the chip. There are probably at least 50 pins on the chip and would be impossible to do with a standard soldering iron... I don't even know if the MT would be accept new flash storage without major modifications to software anyways. IMO it's way more trouble than it would be worth just to see if ti could even accept the storage...
