Pics of the MT Mobo

Itr looks like there is some sort of shielding over the micro usb port in pic 1. Is that removable? Could you identify the solder contact points to the mobo? Or are they those 6 points on the flip side of the mobo?

Looks like there is epoxy covering the solder joints...

You're living in a dream world. lol In no means would it be easy... possible? maybe... But you could need access to a machine to be able to solder/ desolder the chip. There are probably at least 50 pins on the chip and would be impossible to do with a standard soldering iron... I don't even know if the MT would be accept new flash storage without major modifications to software anyways. IMO it's way more trouble than it would be worth just to see if ti could even accept the storage...

aaahhh ok oh well a person can dream:D but i was thinking it was going to be impossible...sigh lmaoo

Well its either a port for an external antenna or a diagnostic port. It's in the second pic. It's the one at the bottom marked with 5.

Sorry for the grave dig, but I never saw anyone answer this, and thought I'd throw in my two-sense.

I wanna say I read somewhere that that little circle, and the small hole right above the battery cover have something to do with the noise cancellation.

Although I could be wrong. I'm no hardware expert.

Thanks for the post, I had posted about dropping my phone and after seeing this, I found that my vibrate has broken loose and does not function

yes, the small hole to the top left of the battery cover is the noise cancellation, the big hole right under the battery cover is thought to be either a diagnostic port or a antenna port, but just by looking at the picture it looks exactly like what a wifi antenna would plug into so id guess its some form of antenna spot

That is correct... saw it listed somewhere in some triumph documentation somewhere a long time ago, when I first got a triumph. You can buy an external antenna that fits that Jack from some web sites. I think I have one or two saved of anybody is interested.

If you could post a couple sites, that sell the antenna, that would be great!!! :D
