Market doesn't wok with that but you can add astrofilemanager into /system/apps so you can install whatever is on your mSD card.

yea, thats the major downfall for me, although, I often use 3rd party markets(BlapkMarket for discontinued apps not available in the Play store) and torrents(tTorrent Pro to search for older apk versions) to download my apps when Play is not functioning.
Its a quick work-around, that can prove to be frustrating when you can't find the app you are looking for, but it is a quick fix for now.

Why does ICS make it so much clearer?

With any camera it use to be all about the lense, but now its all about the software that can decode anything you need from a decent lense.
