Root PLEASE HELP!! Am i BRICKED?! Need help!

ok so ive been running the latest cynogen7 nightly and saw the ICS alpha 6 rom and wanted to try it out.. i downloaded it, did a backup, then flashed it. like a jerk i forgot to wipe it before i flashed it. now its taking me to the revolutionary screen. I CANT GET INTO RECOVERY!!!!AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! IM FREAKING OUT. Ive got s off still.
 
Try pulling the battery for a moment, then re install, hold volume down and power button, that should get you in to recovery.
 
what do you mean by re install? ive pulled battery, nothing is getting me there. i tried to put an old rom at the root of sd card and rename it if thats what you mean?
 
I just meant reinstall the battery and then try to get into recovery with the vol down and power button.

I know that sense roms have fastboot, was hoping that would help you on that aosp rom as well.
 
I wonder if you have somehow corrupted your recovery? do you know how to install amon ra recovery with the zip file?

Follow these directions,

From your computer, (important)rename the zip exactly PC36IMG.zip and then transfer the PC36IMG.zip (Amon Ra v2.3) to the SD Card. Make sure it's not in any folder and is on the root of your SD Card.

Now this screen, you will see
BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWER DOWN

Using the Volume Down key to scroll, highlight BOOTLOADER and then press the power button.

21.
Your phone will scan for the PC36IMG.zip and once prompted, it will ask, "Would you like to update?" Press the volume up key for yes. Then it will ask "Would you like to reboot?" Press the volume down key for no.

Congratulations, you have now successfully flashed Amon Ra v2.3 recovery

is that before or after you put that file on the root of your card?

You need to take that file you downloaded, do not unzip it or anything, and rename it exactly as the directions. don't worry about putting .zip on it, windows hides that extension, then try it again.
 
ok,, i was really excited but no. i updated it. and its still in this powering cyle. im gonna wipe my whole sd card and try it again. the file is already pcimg36 why rename it? is that right?
 
it may be named correctly, lots of times it isn't. I ust grabbed that source.

did it say it was updating after you said yes to update? did it say it was complete?
 
yes it did say complete. then do you want to rstart or reboot or whatever, i said no,, actually pressed the volume down button. then i selected recovery...it said htc evo then went black then came back on to the htc evo screen..

flash this the same as the recovery you tried earlier. Rename to PC36IMG and flash from the bootloader. Let us know if that works.

I was sincerely freaking hoping not...

What is it about that rom? Is it always when using a sbc kernel too?

I hate to see this...
 
the bootloop of death DOES NOT sound good!!!! im going to try and download that other file. it looks like the other one file but does this have radios or something different? wouldnt it be the same effect or will the extra files be installed too? i was also supercharged and had vipermod but yeah it was cynogen7 running tiamat.
 
I'm not up on ruu's, think it is like using the bootloader to flash the rom, maybe with more stuff too. I was just trying to get you a known good recovery for you to work with.

Cm7 with tiamat. seems like the best battery life there is, but keep seeing that problem...

The file I linked is an RUU (rom update utility). It will flash the stock rom radios recovery everything. It will put your phone back to stock, but leave your securities off (S-OFF). That is 1/2 of the unroot process. The file will be name exactly the same as the other one, so remove the recovery PC36IMG first, then transfer the RUU over.

you are the real deal and i trust and appreciate your help.. just hoping all this stuff works. gonna take a bit to finish but i got a bad feeling.
