Root PLEASE HELP! need to unroot!

i need to unroot my htc evo 4g and have no idea what to do. i know it was rooted with unrevoked by a friend. the only info i think is useful would be

First a question, why do you need to unroot?
if it is to take it into sprint for service they dont worry about it being rooted.

Second your hboot shows S-ON so the only root would be the superuser in the rom, what rom are you running?
You could(if you really need to unroot) use a file explorer (like root explorer or es file explorer) to delete superuser from /system/app.

data coverage as in internet? i don't know why that is the case but it is effecting it. can you help unroot?

root wont affect your internet, you seem to have a different problem.

as to root do this open the app drawer and see if you can find superuser app.

ok, now if you would lets look into your data coverage problem. does the 3g icon come on?

what happens when you try to get on the web?
if you open menu and go to about phone can you tell me what baseband version you have? android version? and kernel version

no 3g icon. when i open the browser it just says web page not available then an error message comes up that says data call failure: unable to establish wireless data connection.
android version 2.3.5
baseband - 2.15.00.11.19
kernel - 2.6.35.10-chopsuey-v.9.2.6+

Ok, I know you said you dont know anything about roms, but its probably a time for a crash course.

It sounds like your not on a sense based rom, which is not a problem, just means you will need to do extra work.

in the about phone menu under where the kernel version was is there any other info, such as Mod version? or build number?

ok, I dont know what rom that might be. Try this open the phone dialer and enter ##3282# does that do anything.

here is a link to get a stock rom for this purpose.

ok the rom that optimus linked you to is just a stock rom. here is a guide that you should read:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html. it has instructions on how to flash roms as well as other useful info. just skip past the rooting process and go to the after root section.

Since what he had was not working I linked him up to MikG rom

I had thought his rom was one he wanted to keep, and thus just nandroid it and put on stock rom for updating profile, then going back to his rom.
turned out he wasnt particular about keeping his so maybe he will like the MikG
