Im the same. I had g+ since it being in beta and invite only and i loved the layout but all my friends use facebook so i kinda forgot about it until a couple months ago when i got a new pet spider and wanted info. I found that the communitys were really cool so i searched for android ones and started adding people to my circles. That makes your news feed more rich and varied and you end up finding other interests and people.
Id much rather waste 2hours on g+ than facebook :)
 
The 2 Networks definitely fill different uses.

FB is still better IMO for maintaining day to day contact with people you know(I use it as easy contact with my friends in the Philippines)

G+ is good for getting out beyond your circle of friends. It's more topic or location based.
 
Hangouts is an excellent app. Bit freaky when a foreign complet random video calls you though. And theres a LOT of young kids on there. If i was a parent i dont think id let my kids use it

You can change the settings to stop random contacts but sumthing tells me you never will ;)
 
Most people i follow are in my "android geek" circle. Nearly 100 now i think. Great source of knowledge and opinions :)

It said at the top left hand side of the page that the group had 168 members, so I just assumed that I was the last one. It doesn't explicitly tell you which number you are. ;)

EDIT: LOL. I got the number wrong because I hadn't actually joined the community, only set up my g+... I'm actually #169

im a big G+ fan lately and theres a Phandroid Android Forums community started by the owner of our site but its a virtual ghost town and needs populated.
Even if you havent explored Google+ yet, this is a great place to start.

yeah...OMG! apparently I'm not being stalked so much whats called plusphucking on G+ there seems to be some annoying algorithim thing going on lately that whittles people in your circles out of your stream if you dont +1 or comment some of their post in a while ..
and people are annoyed because they already put you in their circle for a a reason but now it seems G+ is manipulating what shows in your stream according to what and who you +1 or comment. Profiling!!!so to speak so people do it to keep you in their stream so they over +1 and comment on tons of your posts all at once to keep you in their stream! hahaha! I just found out about it when someone apologized for plusphucking me:eek: and explained why! so I looked it up and it's true! WTWhat???:D

It must have missed me then. I haven't +1'd or commented on a post for months and my circles are still intact.
