Root {PORT} Behold 2 Stock ( No Twiz w/ Root & Busybox )

Okay, so, I've been running this ROM for about a week and a half. I love it, but, have encountered some issues. Before I go into this, though I doubt this would be the issue, I should point out that I'm running this phone unlocked at on the Fido network in Canada. Because of this, I do not get 3G access, only Edge. This is fine by me as I don't use the internet that heavily.

1) This isn't 100% recreatable, but, it seems that often when I make an outgoing call, I hang up the call, something crashes, and when it all comes back up, the internet does not come back on.

2) There seems to be a memory leak somewhere as when I run it for more than a few days without rebooting, I am unable to recover RAM. On a fresh boot, Taskiller tells me that I've got about 120M of free RAM. After a few days and killing running apps and whatnot, it tells me that I've got 40 or less sometimes.

I thought there was a third, but, I can't seem to remember what it was at this time.

These issues asside, this ROM is GREAT! Thanks for all the hard work and I would appreciate a response asap-ish!

The memory leak is inherent in the TW software. although BH_MAN did remove a good portion of the TW software the phone still has many TW things and thus still suffers the same defects. The Phone crash part I would also chalk it up to the TW software.

I can also suggest, if you haven't applied the updates from Samsung, go back to the stock phone rom with the updates. and then reapply this rom. you may have better results.

I have encountered a bug. To re-create this bug just add an image onto your sd card and use files to view it, once you are viewing the image attempt to set it as wallpaper. I get this " The application com.pineone.android.myfiles (process com.pineone.android.myfiles) has stopped ..."

I'll see if i can try and fix this. A workaround to setting wallpaper is to use the photos to view it and then you will be able to set as wallpaper.

Would everyone like me to Update the Rom using these File and Remove the Behold2 Dialer? In doing So we can Remove Visual Voice Mail as well, as the Behold 2 Dailer is Dependent on this app for checking our Voice Mail. Which, will no longer be needed if we go to the Factory Dialer.

Let Me know with a Count of Vote's :)

BH_MAN could you still implement this?

There is No Sleep Bug!
The sleep issue is regarding 1.6 Galaxy Port only!

Hello,

For clarification purposes, I suppose to choose "BH-MAN-ODIN.tar.md5" as suggested by nomadrider123 instead of the "T939UVIJ6-PDA-CL81521-REV1.tar.md5" as suggested in the OP right?

I ran the BH-MAN-ODIN-tar.md5 and got these messages:

There are 2 "Settings" on the phone. On the settings with the yellow wheel, when I click on "Widgets", internet via wifi is disconnected (temporarily) and I get this message "Sorry! The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." With Force close being the only option.

Firmware version: 1.5
Kernel version: 2.6.27 root@sep-36#1

The phone seems to lag quite a bit. It takes a few seconds for the orientation of the screen to switch when I turn the phone. At times, the keyboard doesn't show when it should more than a second later. I know a second doesn't sound like a long time. I read somewhere on this board that installing this will make the phone run 4 times faster (or is that only apply to the galaxy version?), but it seems as though it's a bit slower. I hope I did something wrong so that I can fix it and get the phone to run faster.

Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help.

Make sure you do a factory reset after flashing this rom. Press menu, settings, sd card & phone storage, factory data reset.

Thanks, behold_this. I didn't do that since I read this in the OP, "- No Factory Reset Required after Installed!" I just did a factory data reset as you have suggested. I hope everything will be as awesome as you guys have said. Thank you.

Yeah I know it says that but it helped me when running this rom. If it doesn't help then I would redo the whole process and see if that helps cause the rom is bad ass. I only moved in from it cause I gotta have the 1.6

I did a quick search through 14 pages, and might of missed it. I can't find the automatic screen lock in call settings. I hate it when I'm in the middle on a phone conversation and my ear decides to hang up my phone. Any help much appreciated!

Update, figured it out; There are two separate setup icons in the main slide up menu. so instead of using menu>settings>call settings. have to find setting icon in the slide up menu.

I have been getting this issue with all of the roms, I hope someone can help me. I have used odin to put in the .tar file. now it says that I am using
firmware version 1.5
Baseband version: T939UVIJ6
Kernel Version: 2.6.27
root@sep-36 #1
Sat Jan 16 21:15:14 KST 2010

Could someone confirm if I have the correct version, etc? I ask because I have only noticed minute speed differences from stock behold II. Not only that but the text messages app take several seconds to load and then is not very responsive. I also get the problem that sometimes when I send a text, it will say "unable to send the message" when I clearly have service and it wont ever attempt to send again. I have to go and forward the message to the same person so that it will send again.
I keep hearing praises that the rom is amazing so I feel like i did something wrong (like used the wrong .ops) because I have a phone that is really slow and sometimes unreliable.

Thanks in advance.

I am going on 10 minutes of connecting in ODIN... the phone is connecting, what should i look for? do i need do rename the behold2.ops to behold2_partition.ops?

First, thank you BH_MAN, you are truly the man for all the work you've been puttn in on this phone. I love this build and will probably stick with it. That being said, I need some help.
I would really like to have A2SD up and running on this but I cannot for the life of me get the root thing to work. (have tried everything on the following pages and to no avail:
[Tutorial] for rooting the Samsung Behold2 - xda-developers
[GUIDE] ADB, Fastboot, and Nandroid for Noobs - xda-developers
[HOW-TO] ADB for Dummies(How-To Learner's Guide) - xda-developers
Also, is there any way to update this to 1.6? (without getting rid of the mods u made?)
and lastly, is there any way to get the music player from your r8 ROM onto this? That thing is freakin awesome and I'd love to have it.

i know i'm asking for alot of stuff, but if i understand this root thing correctly, if you can get that up and running for me, i should be able to do the rest of the stuff on my own (with a little guidance from you of course).

again, i appreciate all that you do/have done/ and will continue to do

is there a way to use different notifications for text messages and connecting power sources? it just annoys me that my incoming message tone plays everytime i plug in the charger. also, if you're able to help me root, will i be able to replace the default messager with handsent?
