Root possible to change dialpad sounds when dialing?

i was wondering if its possible to change the number tone when buttons are pressed down to dial phone numbers? can someone let me know , and if so how do i change them? thanks:confused:

i think that can be achieved with the blur dialer, what rom are you running?

just running .596 root. no custom ROMS..

CAN SOMEONE WALK ME THROUGH THIS?

also, if i did do this, would it affect if i was calling someone like verizon or credit card company and i need to dial in my numbers? would this screw that up? i am just looking for what i hear on my end.

i dont think its an option...you would probably have to extract the entire ROM find the right audio files and replace them...

i kinda wanted to say that met but wasnt too sure if that was it, i guess it is something to do with the blurdialer, but he would have to open the blurdialer apk and locate the xml file that states what it plays, is that right?

You could do that, but you don't have to, it would just be easier to replace the actual file used for the sound.

This way you don't need to decompile and make edits to the xmls, and then compile and push the changes.

Yeah, pretty much, they'd have to be the same type of file too, meaning they would have to have the same extension, .ogg, .mp3, etc.
