Root Possible Wiping Issue

The last few times I have flashed a new rom I've been having an issue with the default wall paper. Before I flash a new rom I always wipe to default, cache, dalvik cache, data, boot, system and I do that aleast 3 times then I flash superwipe atleast 3 times. The issues doesn't seem to affect anything or maybe its normal but here's what happens. After doing all the wiping I flash the rom and reboot and it boots up fine and the default wall paper comes up on both the lock screen and home screen. Then the phone start the accounts and sync setup and when I get done with that sence reboots and when it comes back up the wallpaper from the previous rom I flashed comes up not the wallpaper from the current rom. Is this normal?

it happens sometimes. what is weird for me. i was on cm7.1 which i installed my own wallpaper. but now i just flashed the supersonic3d(used to be runnymede but mik took it over the project) and after everything booted up, i get the cm7.1 live wallpapper. really weird. and i wipe like you do so not sure what is going on with that, but the rom runs pretty well.

mine does the same thing after i was on CM7...thats the only one ive ever seen that happen....last time time i was on CM7, before i flashed i went into my sd card and deleted everything except my titanium backup stuff, then transfered a new nandroid over from my computer and flashed a new rom and it didnt do it...its gotta be something that isnt being deleted from the rom, and wiping and flashing superwipe doesnt delete it...

Cool just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some thing. I've had this happen going from cm7 to recharged, and then my recharged wallpaper came up on merged and merged comes up on R2R. But never an issue with the roms just weird that this happens. Thanks guys! This is by far the best and most friendly android forum. I can't thank you guys enough.

well, I am running the runnymede beta 6. The wallpaper that came up this time was what I was running on 2.52 , BUT, I have no other of the many wallpapers, and the scenes are there but all blank.

I was wondering if maybe all those graphics had been removed to make room for the rom or something.

i dont think they were...i think its just a bug that isnt fixed yet...cuz i know i read on the mikmik site that he knows of the grey screens for scenes, wallpapers and such...but he said you can click on preview and it should show up...

actually... I think the bug is when the wallpaper ISNT restored from the previous rom... I could be wrong, but I'm 90% positive that google will backup that info, as well as selected ringtones, etc...
