Post Here if You Have Received The Update

Is anyone seeing "Media Scanning" after the update? Update finished, got message saying it was successful and got into the phone. Then Media Scanning kicked off for a while, this is not normal. Wonder if it will be the same going forward or just this one time.

So I uninstalled Quick Office prior to the update and checked the market afterwards, it now needs an update. Looking at the version, the update contains a slightly older version of the application.

Rooted and OCLF on my captivate. Didn't get a text message, but manually installed.
Everything went fine. It did lag for a while at 50%, and then at the Galaxy S screen, which others are reporting too.
Even got the Congratulations! message.
I had quick office before, and it's still there.

Stock and update went fine, now JH7. No SMS, but did a manual check and got the update. Didn't remove SIMM and install did pause for a long time at 50%, but them completed successfully. Did give me some weird YouTube error on reboot, but everything seems to be working fine now. Don't know what that was about.

Every time I have EVER looked for an update I get the message "DM initialization is not ready. Check Network or SIM card." It has done this since it was new, and I got the phone the second day of release and it has done it since then. Is my SIM card messed up somehow? It did this before root, and now it is rooted and is still doing it.

No txt message, and no way to manually check for me now it seems. :( Anyone have any ideas?

Just restart you're phone and don't close up DM services.

Has anyone tried to get to the GPS settings after the software update?
I tried, and I can't get in to it.

Just update. See no difference I gps. Always had instant location lock but navigation still sucks. Inside a hospital on the fifth floor. I'll check navigation on my way gone later.

I JUST logged back on to post about this. I've tried putting the string in to get to the GPS settings and it won't let me.

ALSO, I've rebooted about 4 or 5 times now, and every single time my phone turns on and I swipe the screen to unlock, I'm welcomed by the "Congratulations! New software update for phone installed. Phone is ready for use" message.

Every...single...time.

That's pretty annoying.

ok i never got a notification for update..i manually checked it on my own and it said i had an update available..download and installed w no problem. phone is bone stock. kept my sim in during install..after install and reboot..my media scan was instant..very fast. and my gps locked within 10 secs indoors and kept the lock..so i can confirm this update did fix the gps issue.

Didn't get any text from AT&T, checked the update and it was there.

Bone stock before, GPS has always worked on this phone. (not indoors, which is still doesn't)

Update took about 12 mins including restart.

Phone seems a bit less laggy, but haven't used it too much since the update.

I never had a problem getting a GPS lock outside and sometimes inside.
My problem was the GPS was constantly showing me moving back and forth while I was moving. Variation in my location seemed to be as much as one half mile at times (while driving on a straight, flat highway).
Have you checked the GPS function while driving?

yea my little bar gets to 50% and fails i've set the date up now to the 25th, it won't update something is busted on mine, it's completely stock too, no rooting or removing of apps or anything so...who knows it just isnt going to happen for my phone :)

No text, manually checked for update and started downloading. But it's going SUPER slow comparted to what others are saying. It's been downloading for 30 minutes now and it's only at 57%. Didn't get hung up anywhere like others say, just steadily chugging along slow. I guess I'll see.....

I am moving my date ahead and checking for the update again. I am getting it, the phone restarts, it says it is preparing to update, stays on that for a while, then the phone re-boots and says "The update was not completed. No update is applied to your phone.

Are any of you having the issue that I posted above?

Every time I reboot my phone it congratulates me for the update...
