Root Post your FULL SETUP: Kernel/ROM/Radio

unrEVOked forever S-OFF

ROM: Virtuous 2.3
Kernel: King's BFS #1
Radio: 2.15

I run at stock speed (for battery) but have tested and can run fully stable at 11190 MHz. That gave me Quadrant score of 1657!

Kernel: King's #3

ROM: Third Wave

Radio: 2.15

Using SetCPU for lowering CPU speed while screen is off.

Quadrant score of 1229

So far very stable and fast!

UPDATE:

Kernel: King's BFS #1

ROM: Official RUU w/ bloat manually removed by me

Radio: 2.15

Using SetCPU for lowering CPU speed while screen is off. Overclocked to 1.13 GHz.

Quadrant score of 1400-1500

Battery EASILY lasts a full day with moderate/heavy use.

Quick question cause I dunno...

With the ROM's, what do you get with the Sense versions vs. the Vanilla versions? I flash with SkyRaider 2.5.2. Vanilla last night but was wondering what might be in the Sense ROM. At work now so I'll have to wait to try it out but if there's nothing major I doubt I'll switch right now. (have to have a working phone as opposed to something to just experiment on, haha)

Thanks!

Ohh apparently the phone has a Quadrant score of 1163 at the moment running at 998.4 MHz

Update 11:39:
Flashed Cyanogen 6 mod and left everything else the same and Quadrant score has gone up to 1259, current freq 245.76 MHz

Casbah: When I upgraded from 2.1 to 2.5.2 Sense, there was really no visible difference. So the phone worked the same and looked the same.

When you upgraded to Vanilla, you probably noticed several differences in the dialer, the launcher dock on the bottom and other things that HTC builds in but vanilla takes off.

It is a personal preference that some like the Sense and some like the vanilla. But my guess is you have tried both now since you had to start with sense and you upgraded to vanilla.

Yeah I did notice some differences. They're both good and I'm trying the cyanogen 6.0.1 mod now too. Have you had a chance to try Hulu or some other Flash site with 2.5.2? I tried them both and the website never started the flash movie and Hulu tried but was sooooooo s l o w .
Wasn't sure if it was something I did or just the nature of the beast.

Update 10:30am:
Just flashed to CyanogenMod-6.0.1-Inc
Seems to be a very nice release from what I can see. Flash still doesn't work on some sites :(
Very customizable.

Update 2:53pm:
Flashed now to SkyRaider 2.5.2 Sense. Nice build. Removed a bunch of the extra bloatware too.

Kernel: King's #3
ROM: Leaked Froyo Lite
Radio: 2.15
SetCPU: 998/Conservative at full (384 with the screen off), then scaling underclocks that gradually step down the speed every 10-20% of the battery. Still waiting to see how much impact the setCPU profiles have on my overall battery life.

Kernel: Kings BFS #1
ROM: 8/27 3.21.605 froyo leak
Radio: 2.15

everything is stable so far, just did the kernel about an hour ago...hoping for some better battery life.

Just an aside note, what are people using to get the screenshots from the Incredible. I use a root program that takes a photo when you shake the camera but didn't know if there were other ways of doing it?

Virtuous2.5 kinGx BFS#2 with 2.15 rad. Setcpu profiles. If anyone wants something that just works, and I mean EVERYTHING, flies, and has excellent battery life I do recommend giving it a shot. :D

SkyRaider Sense 3.0 RC3
2.05 radio
BFS #2
Black notification bar w/smooth circle battery text
Droid 2 Boot Animation
LauncherPro

So far so good.

No idea how some people are getting above 1600. I'm running 2.5.2 with King BFS #1 kernel and setgpu but can't get much better than 1300. :(

Update 0927:
Just flashed Virtuous 2.5 and installed King BFS#2 Kernel (no speed adjustments) and Quadrant score of 1262. Need to reinstall SpeedCPU and see what I can get out of it.

What kind of profiles are you using in the setcpu? How is the benchmark speed now?
Thanks!

ROM: Virtuous 2.5
Kernel: Stock
Radio: 2.15

Tried flashing Kings BFS #1 w/ ver. 2.4 and ended up in loop. May try BFS #2.

I really want to squeeze as much battery life out of my Seido 1750 as possible.

I am now on...

ROM: Virtuous 2.5 (Outstanding ROM build imo)
Kernel: BFS #1 (BFS #2 was a battery drainer for me for some reason)
Radio: 2.15

I am VERY happy with this combo. Everything just works. I will likely will stay here, but I am watching projects like CM6 and Ruby very closely.

Have you compared it to the SkyRaider 2.5.2 or 3 RC2 builds? I've tried several and do kind of like them too. I like the Cyanogen mod keyboard and a few things but overall no..

I ran Skyraider 2.5.2 and didn't have anything against it. I could see how someone could be happy with Skyraider. Just something about the "feel" of Virtuous that I like. I'll admit it is somewhat subjective. (btw, I am running one of the status bar mods designed for Skyraider and it is working nicely on Virtuous.

I haven't run any benchmarks with this setup (I don't care about benchmark scores :D), but I will run quadrant for you tonight and report back!

My profiles are using "interactive" now (at the time of my post I was using on-demand) and using no oc'ing. Just a couple of battery profiles when it dips below 35% to save. My battery life is excellent.

The thing I like about Virtuous is that everything works...no bugs here and there like I see on every other ROM. The sense look isn't for some I know, but my phone has no bugs...that's what I'm talking

Cool, which status bar mod? I'm liking Virtuous as well and everything does seem to be working great.

Good to know! I actually kind of like the Sense as well. I just made a nandroid backup of the system so it may well be a keeper! :)
I'm also guessing the benchmark scores are heavy on the animation and rendering..If I wanted games I would have stayed with the iphone. haha

Here's mine:

Got a 1630 yesterday, but of course I didn't take a screenshot and I can't recreate it lol.

I'm currently running the Black Notification Bar w/Circle Battery Text. I have run the Smooth Circle in the past and just personally prefer the broken green circle but any of them should work.

Rom: Adrynalyne's Fourth Wave w/ Manup456's REVOlution theme ported by Ghostrida
Kernel: Adrynalyne's stock. Stock MHZ w/ clock reduced to 384 w/ screen off using overclock widget.

After experimenting with different roms and kernels, this is what works well for me. Benchmarks really mean nothing to me but a 1270 quadrant with a stock-ish setup seems pretty reasonable.
I like sense mostly, just not all the HTC apps. Using the theme with the vanilla lockscreen with some core HTC apps replaced by vanilla apps, I have a phone that looks good, performs well and gets decent battery life. It is still by far the BEST smartphone I have ever used. I still would never trade down to an iPhone. And thats what makes my world cool

Virtuous 2.5, stock kernal, 2.15 radio, INCredible rEVOlution theme Its friggin awesome!
