Post your home screens

Mine is simple. Going to change some stuff on it though.

Fancy Widget
Launcher pro

2 questions:

1. Is fancy widget the big clock and weather?

2. Did you have to root your phone to get that widget?

Oh btw, love the home screen. Simple, yet very awesome looking.

Sorry to keep bombarding you with all these questions, but how exactly do you install this to your phone? When I try to download it it says the content is not supported by the phone.

Use 7Zip on your computer to extract the image files.

drop them into a folder on your phone

Use Desktop Visualizer and create a widget

look for size: Small SS

Select the icon file from the gallary

Select application you want it to launch

select white text and transparent background (says black by default)

select pressing color to be, click save. bam. Salad

Do you know how to do this on a mac? Because I don't think 7zip is compatible.

What does Launcher Pro do?

Launcher pro is a home app. Instead of touchwiz, you can have launcher pro that has various looks to it. Especially the dock.

You'll want home switcher app to make the launcher pro default when you press home button.

In your pull down menu bar, what is the 3g app and how do i get it, also what is the quick settings and what does it do and how to get it? thanks

That's 3G Watchdog. It's pretty slick, it monitors data usage and you can set alert/notification points and a ton of pretty granular settings (and can even disable 3G, etc.). I'm sure it's extra handy for folks on a limited data plan.

sleek font! what is that?

I'll have to figure it out. I was in a font-o-rama (and using the default replacement tool) and I'm not sure what I wound up with :D Based on looking at it right now, it's some kind of Helvetica variant.

This might have been mentioned before so I'll apologise in advance, I did try looking back through the thread, but what time/day app is this? I think someone mentioned it was word clock but it didn't seem like the same app.

Thank you!

tajm in the market.

Your version looks great as well. I'm like a little kid in a candy store with all the options and this thread along this forum has been great for learning all the various ins and outs since I've never had a smartphone before. :p

Is it stock on the Droid? Just saw a friend and they had it, but they don't buy apps or root.

he didnt have that exact one on the droid, it probably had an unlock and vibrate option. many phones have different lock screens, just depends on what phone you have, and the droid is somewhat similar to that.

Yep. You are right. I remember it had 2 options, lock and vibrate.

Thanks for the help. Just had my captivate for 3 hours, haven't gotten to play with it much, but I am loving it.

i have one similar called lockbot, and it has a free version which i use. it has several different kinds of lockscreens you can use but only a few are available free. anyway it works pretty nice, the first time you use it or when you start the phone it helps to leave it on the lockscreen for a few seconds as it will still use the stock lockscreen but change itself to whichever one you use.
