@dayv

That's excellent. I love the battstatt widget. I'm waiting to get my cappy in the mail but I'm curious, does a dark home screen like yours make a noticeable impact on battery life? Presumably the SAMOLED needs next to no power to display black.

I would think that dark or black backgrounds have to be easier on the bat - but to be honest I did not really start watching my display bat usage until after I started using dark backgrounds. Secondly pretty much any time my display is on I have open either a browser, app, or movie.

But I can tell you I average about 4.5 hours of display on/usage for every bat charge - which I think is pretty good.

By the way that is way better than what my palm centro would get, when the display was lit up on that phone it would suck the bat down right now.

It's a feature from SRE. What you can do is download SRE if you don't want to install SRE and pull the framework-res.apk and copy over (after backing up your file of course) in system/framework yours using root explorer or adb push it. I don't like using 1-step packages that remove/adding everything since I'd rather mix and match fixes myself from different sources and copying his framework-res worked perfect for me.

Of course, I can't take any responsibility for anything bad that happens while trying this :P

Is that an app that shows the Battery % on the actual battery Icon in the toolbar at the top?
If so what is it?

As in the tysj's post, it is from designgear's SRE rom. I was running SRE 1.2.1a at the time of this pic. I am running SREv2b7voodoo now.

I like to keep it simple. Got the phone about two weeks ago. Just rooted & lag fixed. Really enjoy the phone now. I don't have some of the problems with the battery that some appear to have I get about 2 or 3 days with my moderate use out of it.

Can you please post that wallpaper? I love it!

I get them from a guys Flickr that does all the photo shoots for Magpul. His page is Flickr: stickgunner's Photostream There are TONS of great Magpul/gun porn images there for great background use. Use any that are widescreen images since they will look good when scrolling home screens.

Sorry this image is going to be huge probably.

I'm Pretty sure it's Android Calendar Widget

Took a bit of tweaking to get it to look like that, but once I got it to where I wanted, I loved it.4

Edit: Yes it is indeed this app, and like I said it took a bit of tweaking to get it to look like that. Hopefully you'll style it to your own personal preferences :] Now I have to remember how I did it cause I uninstalled it and reinstalled to make sure it was the right one hahaha

Found several different JPGs of varying icons, so I grabbed a few, made a few tweaks/resized, converted them into individual PNGs (w/ transparent BG). Just kind of messing around, but here's a quick sample of my DIY-ers :)

I'm not doing cartwheels or anything as these need more work (the edges are very soft, though it's not as apparent on the actual phone), but this was more of a proof-of-concept, going from widely available JPG icon "sheets" to usable Android icons.

how can I get those folder icons on my phone -- or do it myself? rooted or not?

can you put widgets into folders? I would like to have some folders on my screens that have specific widget launchers in them...
