Here's my current action. Just a few changes to charge/clock, weather reskin, new background, etc., from my previous:

I can't sit still for 5 seconds (note the edit lol), but these three set-ups have dominated my home screen lately...

Really killer designs. I like 'em all (even the poo icon on your dock :D)

Also updated my picture above - I went back to the default Android icon. Didn't notice this until today, but with 2.2, I don't have to reboot to change fonts, I can do it on the fly.

I was running HelvaticaNue which is pretty nice, and is tall/thin so it works well for icons/folders, but I'm finding the default font easier to read now.
 
I'm digging it (check your email already :p)...I haven't even jumped in to Desktop Visualizer/Organizer stuff.

I am enthralled with the customizing my phone. For no real reason lol- it is a form of entertainment to me even though, right now, it's simplistic when compared to others.

BTW, Beautiful Widgets should cost more for the mileage I get out of it. lol

Excellent, thanks for that! Terrific tutorial included.

I really like using folders on my home screen (using Smart Shortcuts) to group together things like web apps, tools, etc. It's tough to find nice and simple folder icons.

Me too. I fiddle around with layouts, tweak fonts, themes, BGs, etc., almost daily ... for fun!

I'm using Smart Shortcuts, but it's basically like Apps Org and all the other apps that do this. Select apps for the shortcut, select icon, a couple of grouping options, etc.

To be honest, I'd be fine with the native folders if I could just change the icon easily. They seem much faster vs. the 3rd party solutions and I don't really need some of the additional options.

I think I had Apps Organizer installed for a while, if it's the one that will do like a notification menu too (which was kind of neat).
 
Nice Vinny- try doing a quality resize (960x800) of that wallpaper or grab an app like Wallpaper Set & Save that'll do an HQ resize for you so you don't have the image distortion issue you have.

Desktop visualizer for changing the icons, although the new version of launcher pro lets you custom change icons as well.

Not app icons, but _folder_ icons. It can be done with folder replacement apps like Smart Shortcuts or App Organizer, but that introduces a non-native folder app.

I'm new at this too man- I meant what I said in a good way. I hope it didn't come out rude. I want others to be helpful to me and that makes me want to be helpful to others...there are no apologies necessary in that process.
