Yeah how do I use nova launcher?

Please help me! I can't find the app anywhere. BTW I'm not rooted either. I downloaded the bottom 2 files.

When I go 2 downloads and I tried to open the nova launcher it says cannot open file.

Ps voice typing is really good

you can't use the bottom two .zip files without being rooted. you want this one: http://teslacoilsw.com/nova/download/NovaLauncher_beta.apk

download that apk file, then get a file explorer (i personally use Astro) from the market, navigate to your download folder, select the apk file, then click open app manager , then install. after it has installed, click the home button and you should be prompted to choose the stock launcher or nova. select nova and click "use as default". to access the nova options, go into your app drawer, click the three dots in the top right corner, and select nova settings.

hope this helps!

I'm wondering if it's just a custom dock bar background, with a SimpleText style text icon on top of it? I was wondering the same, and then remembered that docks in some launchers can just change over to stuff like that. I've just begun my searcing for it again.

On topic, my very minimalistic home screen, using:

Simi Clock & Widgets, and SimpleText icons for the home row. Was just bored at work. Have folders on another screen.

How did you get the different app drawer icon? it wasn't with simple text was it?

Thanks So MUCH!

But how do you make a phone icon change to the word "phone"?

Finally figured out how to do this...
Here is the latest.
I have found the 500px feed in Google Currents to be an awesome source of HD photos for wallpaper

I agree the HD pics are great but how are you able to get the photos from that feed. The long touch doesn't seem to work.

This is my current. Probably the 3rd or 4th I did during my first two days with the phone. I did change out the GoSms icon for the stock Messenger one using Desktop Visualizer so I could have a more cohesive Android look.

Used:
Android Photo - picture frames
Minimalistic Text - Date

Forget where I got the background from.

That wasn't. It's part of a Blue-Chrome icon pack that someone else had linked to earlier. Also forgot to mention I'm also using Nova Launcher (isn't everyone now?), which enables you to change the icons. So, the text ones were obviously with SimpleText, but for that one, tap and hold, hit Edit and just picked it from the icon pack that I had loaded in.
