I bought 2 Chromecast so I can watch my Google Play movies on 2 of my TVs.

Safer than a hoverboard, and hopefully it won't explode.

It does seat two people, but on the other hand I've seen people taking their whole family on them! :thumbsupdroid: ...i.e. not rich enough to afford a car or doesn't have a driving license. No driving license is required for e-bikes.

RTFM I think.

According to the specs, it's 50-60km on the flat. But on the other hand I live at the end of a rather steep road, half way up a small mountain. It's got quite a poke to it, and will do up to 40km/h.

It's 350watt 48volt motor, not quite sure what the battery capacity actually is, but it's large. Also the battery pack is rather heavy as well, as it's gel lead-acid rather than lipo. Lipo is what they used in the infamous combusting hoverboards. But most of the electric scooters seem to be lead-acid battery powered. One thing I know, lipo batteries don't function well at below 0C, which is not what I want on a cold winter's day.

There's the battery pack.

Not something I purchased, but it was a purchase made on my behalf:

A little doohickey so that I can use my brake lights as turn signals, eliminating the horrible fried-egg look of an amber bulb behind a clear lens. I can then put white LEDs where the turn signals are supposed to be and get a bit more illumination when backing up. I'm excited!

It works!

I have the same TV LOVE IT

I'm torn about the new TV. In fact, the Darling Bride loves it... I, most assuredly, do NOT.

I seem to lose more things with the new TV than I gain. Yes, it's curved, and Quantum Dot Technology really makes the picture pop. It has Amazon Prime video and Netflix built in, and it's HDR compatible.

But: there is no option to turn off the picture without turning off the TV. We like to listen to satellite music, and the stationary image runs the risk of eventual screen burn. There IS a screen saver, but the lowest setting is two hours! Way too long, IMO, for a still image to be on a TV like this.

The worst thing about it is that apparently Samsung (and all other manufacturers) have killed off 3D technology. That sticks me with a TV that won't play my rather substantial library of 3D Blu-rays. And now I'm faced with a very expensive decision: dump the old 3DTV and all the discs and glasses? Or keep them & take a massive loss on selling the new TV? I guess movies released in 3D will be less & less common, and will eventually just die out. Either way, I'm screwed.

Ah, the joys of being an early adopter, I guess. It was fun while it lasted.

Money has not yet exchanged hands, but a price has been agreed upon (finally). As background, I have been hunting this car since September of 2014. I was not willing to pay what he thought it was worth, he was not willing to take what I was offering. Until I got a call last night that is. ;) 1968 Pontiac Tempest, all original, all there. Needs restoration but it runs and drives and does not have bad rust at all - minor surface stuff no rot. It's a Southern Arkansas car. Hoping to drive down Saturday and pick her up.

I have always wanted to do a 65 Catalina 2+2 but they are like finding a needle in a haystack. I love the old big boat Pontiacs. With the 428 these screamed even weighing a million pounds!

Seeing that, I wouldn't mind driving a 1973 Ford Capri Ghia again. This is UK, not much chance of doing it in the PRC of course.

It's basically a Ford Cortina Mk 3, with different bodywork.

BTW my new e-bike is still going well...had it a week. :thumbsupdroid: Don't have to fill it with petrol, and recharging is free, courtesy of the school. :)
