I order a bike chain cleaning kit the other day and it showed up today. The kit has a reservoir with brushes and magnets that you clamp over the bike chain. With the back wheel off the ground you pedal forwards and backwards while shifting through the gears. The brushes with the cleaner is supposed to degrease and grime the chain.

Had to order a new yard cart. Got home from vacation Saturday evening and all of the tires were flat. Had it forever so the wife wanted a new one. Went from a 4 cubic foot to a 7.

We really only use it for pulling stuff from the car to the house but this one will also be able to pull behind the yard tractor, so it's a bonus.

We may not need a new fridge after all. Turns out that LG guarantees its linear compressors for 10 years: since the fridge is 8 years old, we're only responsible for the labor. The only caveat is that we're biting nails, hoping this compressor hangs in there until the 18th (although the technician said it's very possible he can get to us sooner).

I'd rather buy labor than a new fridge, that's for sure!

That’s great news! Best of luck with it!
Do you have one of those rental places you could get one for a couple of weeks?

Don't need it: surprisingly, it's working great! Both ice makers are cranking out ice, it's maintaining temperature... hopefully it was a fluke and the technician will tell me it needs no repairs at all.

That's a great scenario because the Darling Bride's latest bougie upgrade cost almost that much. Motorized blinds for our three den windows!

:oops::maskeddroid:

Two quarts of oil and an oil filter for my mower at the cabin. The mower is only used around 16 times a year but each mow is around an hour and a half hard work. The mower doesn't see much love but it does see a yearly cleanup, oil change, clean filters, and sharp blades.

I think everyone on here will support this one. :D Pixel 9 for $399, no contract because I’m already with the carrier.

[If you are able to change carriers (and you only have to stay for a year on a discounted plan of $228 total, including fees and taxes), PM me, and you may also be able to get a new Pixel 9 (128gb) for $399 plus tax. That price plus the annual service fee is still almost $200 less than the phone costs from Google. I only ask for the PM because I’ll share a referral link that will get me a small credit should you decide to go with them. :) They’ll set you up either on AT&T or Verizon network.]

Awesome man! I knew I was looking up Pixles when I could not make up my mind on my moto.

Darling Bride has decided that she doesn't like the new super-bougie sofa. Thankfully, Costco will have a delivery team pick it up and take it back to... wherever. We went looking for a new sofa today and (I think) she's settled on a superer, bougier sofa. However, we're going to save the decision until Monday. Instead of throwing money at the dearly-departed pooch, we're throwing money into updating the house and furniture. At least she doesn't do this every year or two: we generally keep things like furniture until they wear out.

Isn't it wonderful that we have wives to share our lives with? Having lost my first wife to cancer, I gained a greater appreciation for the things and people I took for granted. God bless you and your wife, @The_Chief!

Yep - we tell everybody that at our age, it's not about buying things... it's about sharing experiences. I just didn't realize that her idea of that was sharing the experience of me buying her things :D
Bahahahahaha. Don't you get joy from seeing her happy?
