Pre order from radioshack update

amazing someone who just ordered today May 31 had it shipped already and they havent even filled the pre orders WTF


I'm seriously over Radio Shack and the way they handle their business. I'm tired of these huge companies treating everyone the way they want to.


Just like with Best Buy, There really isn't any customer loyalty. They figure they are the biggest monolith so they know people will come to them regardless.....

Yeah, my first day pre-order has yet to ship... we'll see if they call me back with an explanation today. Now the item number and all info is gone from my status page [being that they removed it from their system]. Still says Stock Located. It sucks when they remove the item from their system like that, cause now if you call a CSR you will have a hard time finding any solid info on your order.
 
I pre-ordered from RS first day and called the 1800 number this morning. I was told the item shipped (to store) and since i chose standard shipping it probably won't arrive until Monday:frown:.

Expect similar results if you chose free shipping to store. If you chose better shipping you may luck out and get it tomorrow.

Side note, called my local store and they said they have none in stock.

Mine is the same way. It's such a big hassle. I'm still annoyed at how Radio Shack has handled this. They told me they can't change the standard shipping on my order to overnight shipping. So I'm stuck with an item in limbo and no idea when it'll show up.
Last rep I spoke with said Saturday, Monday at the latest.

I too, pre-ordered the first day. That doesn't matter though, people ordering now with overnight shipping are likely to see this phone first.
 
This is great, I come on here to find out that people who ordered yesterday already have their phone shipped last night, meanwhile When I ordered on 5/22 and my phone has been "Located in stock" for 2 days now...

I'm done with RS. I ordered 2 day shipping for nothing now.

I feel the same way... waiting to hear from a supervisor from the 1-800 # . They are supposed to get back to me today.
 
I love how everyone here is getting mad. Preordering the phone only gaurantees you one. It does not control when you get it. I ordered next day delivery. That's why it is coming before yours. They fill the orders by the way people order. So the only real person to get mad at is yourself for not ordering it faster if you wanted it today. A DAY AFTER RELEASE. Which is why i ordered next day shipping.


Not to sound like an ahole but it's common sense.
 
I just called my Local Radioshack and asked if they had it yet, she said they did not but she was going to check when her order was going to come in. She took my name and number and will call me back. I will let you know when I hear anything.
 
I pre-ordered on the 23rd and paid for 2 day shipping site to store. Just got done talking to a rep through the 1-800 number. The order is "processing" and will be shipped today. They cannot do anything to make the phone get here faster at this point but they will be crediting me back the $12.99 shipping since it did not ship by the promised date. He said it should be at the store ready for pickup on Tuesday, Wed at the latest.

I'm not pissed that mine is not in hand right now... I'm kinda mad though that it isn't even in transit yet, when they gave us a garanteed ship by date.
 
They said all the pre-orders are not going to ship for 1-2 days more. They are putting the newer overnight shipping people first.
Said they had received a large "Call volume" over this phone and that only the people who choose overnight are getting theirs, REGARDLESS of when they ordered.

I agree with Matthew. It's not that I don't have the phone really, It's that they supposedly gave a guaranteed "Ship by" date. They are not honoring their words.
I'd be more likely to be patient if I felt this company was not jerking me around needlessly.

So I'm without a phone basically for probably another week. This is lovely. I had my sights set on no later than Monday of next week.
I think I'm to likely cancel this and see if I can't just overnight order the EVO 4G for Boost instead.

Lesson learned. I will never again pre-order.

Edit: Nevermind on the Boost one, It looks like everyone got mislead on that too.

When I hold a deposit for a phone in my store, I don't judge it based on how high of a deposit they gave me. I base it on who came first. They should of honored the pre-orders and shipped them out first, Then sure give the overnight orders priority in terms of when they receive it. If my order was on a truck somewhere, I wouldn't be here in this frustrated state right now.

I totally agree! On their website it states that orders are shipped within 2 days of placing the order. So these people ordering overnight yesterday should of been the ones on hold for a day or two, instead of the people who ordered a week ago. I personally think Radio Shack should not have made them available online yesterday, until all pre-orders were filled, or at least open up another pre-order like BB. Mine order statement specifically said SHIP ON OR BEFORE MAY31... not start a 3 day process of letting all new orders go through first LOL.

I could care less if I got it tomorrow or next Fri... just want the piece of mind that it's in transit. For all I know, they may call me today and cancel my order, or say it's backordered for a week or two. Which is totally F'd up.

This will be my last purchase from Radio Shack. That is for sure. Glad I'm not the only one frustrated!

Pre-ordering guarantees you a phone? Apparently not, especially people that have preordered are getting their orders cancelled by radioshack. Ordered mine on May 24th still waiting for the phone to ship. They shouldn't expedite your order just because you gave the parcel extra money to get it faster. What they should have done is go by your order date people that ordered theirs first got it shipped no matter what type of shipping it was.
 
Okay. I know why they are doing this. Only a few shipments were received. Customs did a big attack on all HTC devices, NOT just the HTC Evo 4G LTE. =\

The few phones that got through on the first shipment are going to people who ordered with overnight shipping. Some orders were honored, Some were cancelled. It seems there is no method to this ridiculous madness.

The people who pre-ordered all the way back to the 22nd - 24th who didn't choose overnight shipping, You are SOL.

Bullcrap if you ask me.

I agree with both of you, I'm frustrated that they haven't shipped yet. I ordered second day shipping, and was excited to think about getting it Tomorrow or Monday. I don't care when I get it, But I paid for second day shipping when it definitely wont be coming tomorrow. I just wanted to know that it shipped and that I was FOR SURE getting one sometime in the mail.

I think I might call and demand my shipping money back tomorrow, If it doesn't ship by midnight tonight.

Radio Shack is so ridiculous.

Edit: They sent me an E-Mail to review their service. I gave them a wallop punch verbally. =P
