Prevail drops signal-have to reboot to get back!

I have noticed multiple times that my phone will drop signal completely, usually after a phone call. This has happened multiple, multiple times and the only way to get a signal again is to reboot the phone. Has anyone else had this problem? I've had it happen to me and my sister in law has the same problem. It's really starting to annoy me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This happened to me today also. Lost signal for a short while after making a call using blue tooth. My phone got very laggy. I turned airplane mode on and off hoping that would refresh the signal but that didn't work. My phone then froze and I had to remove the battery and restart and then the signal came back. I've been having issues with bluetooth freezing my phone after calls 10 minutes or more in duration...very frustrating considering I haven't rooted my phone nor have I deleted any system files and I've done two factory resets on this device. I really want to like this phone but I think I'm selling it when the Motorola Triumph comes out. Any buyers? LOL.

I like the phone but the signal dropping issues is turning me against it really quick! It happens almost daily. I haven't rooted my phone. I've done a format as well and that fixed it for about a week or two, but now it loses signal daily. I haven't used Bluetooth so I think it's just a general issue with the phone. I know it's not the service because I had the BlackBerry Curve 8530 and it worked fine. Any other help would be great!

I haven't messed with the tethering stuff at all. I'd think that Samsung would know of the problem and release a new firmware or something.

I used to have this problem too, but now is gone (not sure why):

the only thing I did is that I stopped tinkering with the update features (PRL, Firmware etc) and tethering programs.

I've only had this problem one time a long time ago. I keep my prl and profile updated and I use pda net not just daily but multiple times a day to tether my wifi to my computer instead of running a long ass cord through my house. it happened to me after calling another boost customer and they sent me to voicemail.

I'm curious to know if it does it to me when I call other Boost customers. I have two that I call regularly. I'll check on that. I keep my PRL up to date too.

I've had this phone for a few weeks and the same things happens to me at least a couple times a week. It just happened again. I lose the signal completely and then have to reboot the phone to get it back. I also notice about as often that the phone freezes up on me and I have to reboot. Still like it better than the LG Ally I had with Verizon. The only thing I miss is the slide-out keyboard. It's hard to hit the right letters on the screen and the voice-to-text is not always accurate.

wow, 2 or 3 times daily
I would odin back to stock and start over, if that dont work odin back to stock and take it back.

I agree with optimus. I've had this issue but it occurs less than once a week and it's usually around an hour before I go to bed which isn't a big deal to me since I usually reboot then anyway so it's fairly fresh for the next day.
