Yeah, I went to the store, and they told me that I can either return it and get one from the site, or like you said "call premier". Problem is that I can't see the no contract price anymore, just the upgrade price (I don't want to upgrade), so I'm not sure what to do.

FYI - the AT&T Corporate Store I bought mine from for $349.99+tax No Commitment on 7/19/2010, now has it as $499.99 no commitment.

They confirmed it was a pricing mistake, but as the pricing came straight from AT&T to them, including the cards slipped into the displays, nothing they can do about past sales. I'm assuming there's nothing they could do anyways about past sales. When I got mine, the display said $349.99 No Commit, and when they scanned it and rang it up, also came up $349.99.

If you call Premier let us know what the no contract price is. I can't see it either.
 
So even being Premier, I'm still ahead of the game @ $349.99+ tax ($370.99) I suppose. Glad I got it when I did. It was still @ $349.99 in-store on 7/27 or 7/28 - forgot which day I last went in.

If you are eligible for an upgrade, does that mean they will not let you buy it at the no commitment price?
 
Right now Walmart has it for $99 bucks for a contract renewal or brand new account.


ATT's website has it for 200 bucks renewal, but I called and did it over the phone and for some reason it was only 149.99
 
Wait, I'm on one of those Premier/FAN accounts (my dad works at a company is sponsored by AT&T, or the other way around =0) so I can see the corporate site or w/e. So....waiit...waiitt...YES. PRICE JUST CHANGED IN THE LAST 24 HOURS, HAHA. You guys are awesome, thanks a lot, 372.99 it is then!

YOu can call Premire support 7 days a week. As far as current offers its differnt for every FAN (company). THis is why some will see $199, others will see 372 and some may still see $499. I think a lot of people dont realize that on top of different servie discounts each company has a different hardware discount (if any at all).


Also, Id like ot add for those fo you looking to go the letstalk\Walmart route there is a $25 off coupon code this month when you get a phone with a plan (this includes upgrades). Total came to $83.xx for me with a car charger with an upgrade of my current account. I have to say that this was the best deal that I could find and since when I called ATT decided not to pricematch I went with Lets Talk. ATT has very good coverage where I live so I dont plan on leaving them anytime soon, the 21% service discount (via my FAN) doesnt hurt either ;)......

I just called Premier (866)499-8008 and they said the no commitment price for the Captivate was $499.99 and that they do not take orders over the phone. They also said the price has nothing to do with my FAN acct. What # did you guys call to get the $372.99 price?

You should be able to call 611 from your phone (the one that is primary on the account with the FAN) and select sales. BTW since I bought the Captivate via letsTalk and the phone was activated it now shows no commitment price of $372 on my side as well.

I just called 611 from my primary line phone and was told that the no commitment price was $499.99. How are you guys getting this for $372.99?

When I go to Premier online it only shows the contract price. What type of discount would this be considered? I think I get a discount on handsets for new activations but not sure about other handsets.
 
I can confirm that the FAN# does make a difference. I've been eyeing this phone and after reading this thread checked the premiere website for a discount.

I used my renewal already for the IP4 so I don't get a renewal discount at this time. However, my no commitment price is only $225. I may have to bite at that price.

I did order the phone though. At $225 I couldn't pass up a try out of it. With free FedEx 2-day shipping, I should have it soon.
 
Just checked my Premier - shows $372.99 also.
Of course, when you're scrolling and pass by the Backflip @ $229, you know good news isn't coming...

My premier only showed the $199 as the line associated with Premier qualifies for upgrade. I called in and waited an hour to talk to a rep who told me my price was $499 but I should try and talk to CLM and they might be able to help me with the price. Too bad he gave me the wrong phone number.
