I've always had it on-as for better service, hard to gauge really.
There are some places that have no signal at all around here and still do after having that enabled(that's Metro
Never had any additional cost at all BTW :thumbup:

Will it just increase 4g? Or cellular signal as well.

The prl is just a list of the towers MetroPCS uses for there phones meaning yes on better reception for signal for 4G/3G and calls

He was asking about the roaming being set to Metro only having an effect on signal, not prl.

Try the latest 3029 first usually an update is better for most but not all. You can see if it is better by running a speedtest prior to upgrading it.

Starting at the bottom of my pic was before then after(sitting in the same place).
The last test on top I went outside-still nothing spectacular you know.
My signal here has always been lower than other spots.

You can still do it that way for sure-for some people a lower/older PRL gives them a better speed. It's just an option if someone want to check them all out
