Root Pro Mini keyboard won't BT Pair with EVO

I have the 4G and it is ROOTED. I bought a Pro Mini Wireless keyboard with Bluetooth capability.

I have had trouble getting the EVO to successfully scan and detect the keyboard despite many tries.

I have flashed the netarchy kernel with HDMiWin capability.
It works fine.

Is there an incompatiblity issue here?

Is their a new Bluetooth update I am missing?

Have you tried this on cyanogen mod? In not sure the bt stack supports it on most roms but I know cyanogen supports Wii bt.

Based on this apparent lack of BT support with my current
configuration (Stock ROM and netarchy kernel I guess it's time to
give Cyanogen ROM a try.

Have you used BT consistently / or have you heard of
others that are BT working?

Actually, I forgot something important. I think the problem may be a bad
piece of hardware. Reasons?

The wireless USB adapter worked fine on a laptop running VISTA.

Despite two separate attempts on separate devices that are BT capable (Blackberry, stock EVO) the scanning for BT keyboard yelded not joy.
