Ok, I like the sense widgets, but I much prefer the LauncherPro+ launcher, and I can live with LP+ widgets.
When I install LP+ and I hit home the first time, it asks me if I want to use Sense or LP+ to go home. And if I don't check the box for default, it will always ask me everytime I hit the home button. I ran that way for a while, so I could really compare the two. I had Sense and LP+ both set up with all 7 screens loaded with widgets and shortcuts, and folders, and I just kept switching back and forth. And in the end, I am leaning more toward LP+.
Now if it were the newer sense like what comes on the Thunderbolt (which I had for a little while) I would go with Sense. But it's not.
So my question is this.
If I have facebook , calendar, weather, battery, and various other widgets running on both Sense and LP+, isn't that a huge drain on my CPU and battery? Because isn't it updating, and running two sets of everything at once?
Now, if I go with Sense, I can just uninstall LP+ and I know it's not doing anything in the background. But if I go with LP+, I can't very well uninstall Sense. So how do I know it's not doing anything? Because it seems like it's just always running in the background ready for me to switch back to it.
If I just make all the pages in Sense blank, does that do it?
Because, even if I prefer LP+, if I think it's slowing me down by using it, I'll just go with Sense.
