Root Question about Titanium backup

Am I doing something wrong or do you have to manually reinstall each app 1 at a time when doing a restore? I'd like it to just restore all my stuff without me having to be there to click install on each app. Slows the restore process WAY down and requires me to babysit it.

The paid version allows you to batch restore.....worth the money for it tho.
Along with other things the paid version allows you to do.
If you decide to go with the paid version, restore in small batches 6 or 7 at a time...also restore user app and data only if updating same rom...if going from one rom to a different rom, restore user app only, no data. I read that from ropodope on xda
one of the first things you learn about titanium backup is that your data doesn't transfer well from rom to rom unless upgrading the same rom and certainly not from different framework changes. You want to go from ics (4.0.x) down to gb (2.3.5) and didn't think that would be a problem when it comes to restoring your app data? someone should have told you by now.

Some of this is very true. Going from GB to ICS isn't that bad with your data backups however steping down is another headache all together.( I just recently transfered all my apps and data to the ELTEVO and everything went smooth. Restoring apps and data in batches is ok but titanium paid also lets you freeze and defrost, uninstall apps, backup to the cloud, set schedules, get a full overview of your app storage use, wipe dalvic, change system apps to user apps and vice versa. Its probably the second best investment on your android. (first being the android itself)

I concur! Just couldn't think of all the benefits of the paid version!:D

the other thing to is to never backup or restore system apps. they are in red. they will most likely create conflicts within your new rom and will either make your phone unstable or the backup restore will just stall within tb. you will then have to go to the tb app from the settings (settings>apps>manage apps>tb>stop tb).
